Jeffren: “We will see what happens with my future”

It seems Barça forward Jeffren Suarez is not too pleased with his current standing at the club, with the young forward telling the press that he does not want to “be used like a bargaining chip.

Speaking ahead of his involvement with the Spanish Under-21 squad this summer, Jeffren, who has been hampered by injuries once again this season, said, “We will see what happens with my future. Right now I have my mind on the selection (Spain). It’s difficult for any player who is being talked of in the press every day but you have to be strong mentally and I am now focused on the Euros [U-21 European Championship finals].

Referring to the many rumours surrounding his future, the young forward was very clear that he is not happy with the way things are taking shape so far this summer, saying, “I do not like to be used as a change of currency, so when I return to Barcelona we will see what is going to happen for me.

On a somewhat more positive note, Jeffren explained how pleased he is to be taking part in this summer’s Under-21 European Championships, saying, “The team is eager to play the first game against a very strong rival, England. Our group is the most difficult and we have to fight twice as hard to get through.

We at totalBarça will keep you updated on any news we hear regarding Jeffren’s future, whether it be at Barça or elsewhere.
