Jeffren to leave Barca’s US tour today
Jeffren Suárez has been given permission to leave FC Barcelona’s US tour to travel to Lisbon, Portugal, where he will finalize his transfer to Sporting Lisbon.
During his press conference in Miami, Pep Guardiola confirmed that the young forward had been allowed to leave the tour and travel to Lisbon to negotiate with Sporting CP. Guardiola was quoted saying: “We thought it was the best for Jeffren to leave, so he could play more. He agreed. A player with a contract has the final word.” Jeffren Suárez is expected to leave Miami at about 16:00 Eastern Standard Time (US).
According to reports emerging out from Ona Rac1, Sporting will pay 4 million euros up front and 1 million in variables for the player. It has also been suggested that if Suárez is sold by Sporting in the future, FC Barcelona will be paid 20% of his transfer fees. There is a possibility of a buy-back clause for the next 2 years. The deal could be finalised by tomorrow.
