It’s been more than two weeks since Barça’s first team last walked on the pitch of their home Stadium. The last time they featured at the Camp Nou was on December 6, in a Champions League match against BATE Borisov. This Thursday morning the team returned to Camp Nou for a training session behind closed doors to work on any last minute details before the return leg in the Copa del Rey against L’Hospitalet. Guardiola, in a gentle session, worked with 18 footballers, 11 from the first team and 7 from Barça B. At today’s training there was no Dani Alves, as the Brazilian player has begun his holiday break after voluntarily training the last few days.
Joining today’s session were seven B team players who have been working under Guardiola this week: Cuenca, Montoya, Sergi Roberto, Muniesa, Tello, Dos Santos, and Rafinha.
Guardiola will have to discard two of the 18 players before the match this evening to make the final squad list of 16, complying with the rules of the competition. For now, the team dined together at the Camp Nou and will enjoy free time until they are due back at the Stadium at 20:30.
