FCB Foundation and Pies Descalzos Foundation present agreements
On Monday evening, FC Barcelona Foundation and Pies Descalzos Foundation presented the project “Football for the development of youth and healthy living”. The event held at the Newman Alumni Center of the University of Miami was attended by Shakira, the founder of Pies Descalzos Foundation, and FC Barcelona players Gerard Pique, Carles Puyol and Sergio Busquets.
The agreement was signed ealier on February 17th this year, and consists of several projects. The main aim is to create sporting and recreational areas in Cartagena in Colombia and in Miami in United States. The project aims to reach out to vulnerable children in Colombia and the US Hispanic community, “who run a high risk of social exclusion“.
The second is a joint-educational program between the FC Barcelona Foundation and the Fundación Pies Descalzos and was developed with the collaboration of the YMCA of Greater Miami at the North Point Centre in Miami Dade County. The construction project and the educational program will be implemented with the coordination of the US Soccer Foundation and the YMCA of Greater Miami.

Not sure about everyone else but it's not necessary to say you're not a terrorist. From my experience Muslims they are all polite and generous… and beat me over and over again in fifa.

Always wanted to ask – if you're stuck in a Northern country, and Ramadan just happens to be in the summer, like June, what do you do? I mean, in some places the sun never sets around summer solstice.
usually you will fast with a town that is directly south of you, or some fast the same ours as those in Makkah.

I am not of any religion but I love that all of us have a common interest in Barca. I wish all the people of the world would strive to have more in common with each other and celebrate together.

At the very least, you're not the only one questioning motives, tired of her omnipresence and the public displays. It doesn't make one less of a Barca fan.

Am disappointed with the tasteless comments so far.
Shakira gives a lot of $$$ to charity and has been involved with education and sport for a long time. Any reasonable person should give credit where it is due. She is promoting something that helps at-risk youth and that is good. It is great that Barca is helping out. Fewer kids in jail is good for society.
It is actualy easy to do Ramadan in northern america area cause u have so many things to and time will fly by for instant I play FIFA 11 or go work or study soo it easy and shakira don’t need pigue cause she is more famous than him ..
