FC Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fàbregas (24) confirmed today the rumor that has been circling for weeks; he has officially signed a new sponsorship deal with Puma, terminating his longtime relationship with Nike. The sponsorship with the Germany-based company is reportedly worth $2.5 million annually, which Nike sponsored Barcelona will not profit from.

Cesc first wore his new Puma boots in yesterday’s Champions League group stage match against FC BATE Borisov, though he only officially announced the deal today on his Twitter account. “I can now confirm the rumors. Yes, I have signed with PUMA, very excited about it!” read his tweet.

He also urged followers to “check out my new boots in this video.” The video, posted on his YouTube account, can be seen below. In it, Cesc displays some of his latest Puma gear.
