come on……i know u r a barca fan but three madrid players can not be replaced by anyone in barca. Alonso CANOT be replaced by Cesc coz they play different games….U really must be a Joke comparing casillas to valdes. or RAMOS. these three players were starters in all spain games in world cup while all Barca players were rotated. that should send u msg. dont let being a die hard fan cloud yo objectivity

Excuse me, but did you not look at the stats of the World Cup? Out of every player in the entire event, Sergio Ramos had the biggest overall impact for his team. Look at the way he plays the pitch; it's not at all unlike the way Alves plays for Barcelona. Casillas is captain because he has the most caps, so he will not be replaced, though I know Valdes is better. I have nothing to say about Xabi; he is an excellent asset to the team. Every player who plays for the national team is excellent. Look at the World Cup trophy if you need to be reminded of that. I hate Madrid, but I would not say to get rid of Madrid players from the national team. Please. Don't be so absurdly blindsided.

I agree. Mourinho is killing 2 birds with one stone. Destroying the reputations of Real Madrid, a club i used to like as well as Barcelona, and undoing the unity of the Spanish National Team. On the surface he is doing everything for the Madrid fans, but we all know is bullshit, he's a Portugese, what makes the fans in Real Madrid thinks he "Really" care for their club. Looking back at his CV, he only stay in a club until he win a big trophy for a big club, then he will move on to another club – England MU or Chelsea i hear. Loyality is not in his book. He's a collector. I feel sorry that Casillas is the 'piggy' in the middle.

people, this shows that how much mourinho hates barcelona & somehow it's like his way of breaking up the spanish national team…if possible, he would have changed Real Madrid in to Real Lisbon…too many portuguese.like a portugal national team, somewat…anybody cared/realized? and btw, that is not very RM at all…they're like hyporcrites…why are the RM fans dont see wat i see? are they too blind or do they juz shut their eyes and pretend like mourinho's a douche juz to win trophies? any of you see it too???

I really don't think that team can beat a fit Barca. Not enough inventiveness or 1v1 skills. There seems to be a fair number of teams that fit that large fast physical and direct profile and rarely have they put a win on Barca in the last several years. With Cesc and Alexis, Barca may be close to being the perfect team. Just craziness. I have great hope that Barca destroys Mourinho in the coming season and that Mourinho gets his just deserts and is banished from the big stage.

inferiority complex? lol. in terms of WHAT? because they are short maybe? yea, they probably can't get to sleep in their great houses with their beautiful girlfriends/wives because they are short. get over yourself. and xavi SHOULD consider barcelona the best and the most beautiful team. Ask any professional athlete if he believes that he is the best, the one that will say no is the one that will never be great. have you ever heard ali speak?? have you ever heard roger federer speak?? these are all great athletes that believe they are great. Being a team player, xavi doesn't sing praises to himself, but he definitely should speak of the team as the best. The point is that, haters will hate, whiners will whine, those that are madrid fans or just despise barca in general because they love the "underdog beats the giant" story a bit too much will be ecstatic of any barca problem. all these people will take any chance to take a stab at barcelona, whether it's accusing them of cheating, theatrics, whatever. but when all is said and done, no one will remember any of that. what people will remember is that this team has made and continues to make history, no more no less. ali probably ran his mouth more than anyone, but he backed it up. today no one speaks about that, but everyone speaks of him as one of the most amazing athletes to have lived. will be exactly the same with this barca.

FINALLY SOMEONE WITH A MATURE MIND AND WAY OF THINKING! thanks Mitch! i cant believe these guys sometimes! Casillas is the most respectful one in the whole real madrid squad! and tell u what guys plz watch the replays of the fight! i kinda gained respect for Ronaldo believe it or not! hes the only one who was embarassed of the horrible tackle that marcelo made which was out of pure frustration! and even said he never had to go through any of this at man utd with his team and they always accepted defeat in grace… and embarassed to be at such a big club and have his team mates act so immaturely! i was so surprised! and instantly gained some respect for him! and honestly guys he hasnt been diving as much anymore if u really look carefully

That is what Mou would prefer. That way his players would be less tired than the Barca players. He always pulls out players from national duty citing one fake injury or the other.
