Barça B forward Cristian Tello (20) has signed a new contract with the club. The player was set to end his relations with Barça in 2012, and this Friday he has extended for another season.
Cristian Tello will play in blaugrana, at a minimum, through June of 2013. The player from Sabadell, 20 years old, is currently in his second year with the reserves, and his original contract was set to end with the close of the current season.
Tello, accompanied by his agents and Vice President for Sport Josep Maria Bartomeu and Andoni Zubizarreta at the club’s offices, has signed an extension that will keep him at FC Barcelona through the end of next season (2012/13). His new buyout clause is set at 10 million euros.
The right winger of the reserves, an Under-21 international, is grateful to have the confidence of the coaches of the Club, as he stated in declarations to Barça TV: “I am very happy to renew, for me it’s an honour that they trust in me, now I will work to match [that trust] on the field.”
Tello played in the youth ranks of Barça at the alevín, infantil and cadet levels and after a break of three seasons (spent at CF Damm and Espanyol), he returned last year to Barça B. This Friday he has signed, as he states, “a second contract as a player for the B … I hope in the future to sign a new renewal.”
The player from Sabadell is focused on contributing to the good results of Eusebio’s Barça B team: “This Saturday I’ll play against the team of my hometown, I’m very motivated, with the work of everyone we should come out ahead.”
