The final training session of the year took place this morning at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. Able to work with the group today was Alexis Sánchez, who spent the last few sessions working separately on the sidelines. Also present were the players who participated in the friendly between Catalunya and Tunisia (0-0).

On the other hand, Puyol continued to exercise away from the group with discomfort in his left thigh, while Keita did specific work in the gym.

The coaching staff were also without Éric Abidal, who has flu. Also absent were the injured trio of Iniesta (recovering), Villa, and Afellay, as well as the players granted extra vacation time by the Club, Messi and Alves. The Brazilian right back is due to arrive back in Barcelona today.

Completing the squad at today’s training session were reserve players Cuenca, Montoya, Muniesa, and Sergi Roberto. The team continues to prepare for the first match of 2012, against Osasuna in the Copa del Rey, on January 4.
