Brazilian defender Adriano is set to join the blaugrana expedition on their tour of the United States this Monday, directly in Miami, the second destination of their trip.
From this Monday, Josep Guardiola will be able to count on another player in his squad. Defender Adriano Correia will be added to the team this Monday in the afternoon, in Miami, the second stop on Barça’s American tour.
Adriano will join the team earlier than the other South American players that took part in the Copa America because he didn’t feature in any matches. Barcelona’s coach, in his first preseason press conference, already hinted at this possibility.
With Adriano’s return, Guardiola will have a player able to cover the right wing. The coach has had to improvise while filling this position, using players such as Jonathan Dos Santos as a right back, being without the services of Adriano, Dani Alves, who also took part in the Copa America, or Martin Montoya, the Barça B player that covers this position on the pitch.
