    Pinto is suck

    • Messi10 says:

Pinto is good goalkeeper, he is just too relaxed in friendly matches IMO. He doesn't make those stupid mistakes in official games.

      • LM10 says:

Remember when he tried to be a hero and came out of goal against Madrid and barely came out safe? And then failed to save a header which Valdes would have stopped. And then when he was half the reason along with Chyggy for our elimination from CDR 2 seasons ago?

      • soulmate1960 says:

who said he doesnt make silly mistakes in official matches?he ended our unbeaten run agaist real sociedad last seasom with his foolishness….he has to go.

        • MAX_VG says:

Ok, it might be true that he has to go, but we need at least one person in the team with dreads!

      • OLA says:

        MINO IS BETTER THEN PINTO,,,,,
HE IS YOUNG………PINTO IS TOOOOOOOOOOOOLD…..AND STUPID

    • LM10 says:

      LMFAO. Pinto is suck XD

I definitely agree with the message you're trying to convey though.

      • xaviesta says:

it's funny how people say "Pinto is suck" and got a load of thumbs up, while on the other hand people criticize Bojan got otherwise.

        • LM10 says:

Because Pinto is a much bigger liability than Bojan.

          • Zorro says:

Bullshit! bojan is a bigger liability than pinto, he can't do anything on the pitch and adds nothing to the team.. and his salary is twice as much as pinto..

          • LM10 says:

You idiot; Bojan helped us win the last Liga when Ibra was going to shit. Pinto cost us 2 CDRs. Bojan was unfairly screwed out of a goal which should have beat Inter in the CL. Pinto is well, a liability you moron.

          • Zorro says:

You are echoing Bojan fan boys statements now: When the team won the Liga, it was Bojan, when we lost the CDR it was Pinto.

          • FcB says:

Pinto is a very nice person and should stay. But he should be number 3. Mino from Barca B should be number 2

          • Neuro says:

well….i kind of agree with pinto case as well…our sub keeper is used more frequently than any other team in world. he plays a full trounament. so i think we need a better keeper with tht issue in mind. so many good keepers in the sub rank of madrid, chelsea, liverpool and Man city. they are all better than pinto . i think if we go for them it will not be costly.

    • Ryan says:

His penalty save in la Copa is part of the reason why we got the treble though.

      • LM10 says:

My memory fails me, so I'll go with what you said. But now compare that one moment of luck or individual brilliance with all his failures…

    • LeRoy says:

Pinto is a joke . We definitely need a good back up to Valdes not this clown !!

  2. Messilina says:

Sell or glue him on bench……

  3. Anonymous_69 says:

OT, I think Bojan is making his AS Roma debut right now, vs. PSG: http://www.fromsportcom.com/v-2/12/2/v-320282.htm

  4. Myrmidon says:

    Guys, STOP attacking Pinto !!!
Last season we were all saying he's a great sub gk, and now just because he had bad 2 minutes = sell him -.-

    • mike in africa says:

LOL… pinto was terrible last preseason too… everyone was saying he should be sold… nah… pinto is quality, he's shown it for years… unless he has some sorta hectique decline like it happens to some guys, he'll be ai'ight…

      • Myrmidon says:

one thing I know for sure – WE NEED PINTO, at least for some interesting "Play of the Game"s next season =D

      • Erich says:

He shouldn't be sold. But it's time somebody tells him to just kick that darn ball out of there and not play around. And I don't even mean when Abidal cleared of the line. Pinto brings our defenders in big trouble with his terrible passing. A slow, high ball to Abidal on the touch-line, who's surrounded by opponents! WTF?! He did the same at the Anoeta and lost us the game. And he does it in every game he plays.

    • Bojan says:

well, thats what the new fans always say. if someone has a bad day he must be sold, and if he has a briliant day then he is gold! i never mind those kind of comments since they are coming from persons not knowing barca at all. so just laugh at those comments!

      • Alvessi says:

That is why we r called fans, mate. And fans don't just criticize anyone, but those who make consistent mistakes, like Pinto, are the ones who r criticized…Sometimes fans love victory even more than the players themselves…

  5. Wharawhaaaaa!?!?!?! says:

First goal, beautifully worked. They tried the same thing vs Man U at Wembley, too bad it didn't go in that time.

    • molecule says:

I don't think the play they tried to pull off with Pedro at Wembley wasn't the same as the one they scored with today, although I didn't catch all of . At Wembley, they had Pedro run in front of the wall and then cut behind it; Thiago's movement was simpler today. It's great to see that Pep's got them practicing set pieces more now.

  6. _D10S_ says:

I think Bayern will win the final, they are better prepared in terms of physical aspect of the game, our players can hardly last 45 minutes, but whatever, the only important thing is for them to pick up match fitness and be prepared for the Supercopa!

  7. bistobarca says:

Audi Cup final will be against Bayern Munich… they'll be out for revenge but i think we can handle them :D

    • Erich says:

Also depends on who will play for Bayern tomorrow. A lot of starters went over 90 min today. They are at the end of their preparation for the season but I doubt Heynckes will take any risks. Looks like Robben will be out for tomorrow. But I still think Bayern will win it.

      • THIA-[GO-AL]-CANTARA says:

        —————– Valdes —————–

        Fontas – Pique – Abidal – Maxwell

        —- Thiago – Busquets – Keita —-

        ——- Afellay – Villa – Iniesta ——-

        Halfltime: Keita+Afellay out, Xavi+Pedro in!!

  8. Iniesta !!! says:

Why need Cesc when we have Thiago !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Erich says:

Because we sure could use both.

      • Who says:

        Disagree.

      • Dude says:

I agree, too many games this coming season and the more personnel the better.

        • Anonymous_69 says:

Yeah, maybe we could use another sub. A sub… A sub… A 45M euro sub… Wait a minute, isn't the midfield our most packed area? If we are already low on money, it would be wasted if we didn't go for another attacker or another defender.

Jeffren will surely be sold. That will leave us with 4 attackers for 3 positions. Another attacker is obviously needed.

Milito won't be in the team next season. We will have Fontas as our main CB sub. It's risky, and we would be much better off buying another CB. We can definitely survive though.

Midfield… No one will be sold. That means 7 midfielders. 8 if Messi plays there too sometimes (he definitely will) 7-8 midfielders for 3 positions. And we are looking to spend the precious transfer funds we have left on Cesc? Thiago has already proven he is capable of playing well at the highest level, and if there still isn't enough trust in him, we can play Keita or play a double pivot or move Afellay besides Iniesta or move Messi in there and play Sanchez.

          • john says:

Afellay is an attacker on our team. That's 5 attackers for 3 positions.

Xavi, Iniesta, Keita, Thiago, Mascherano, Busquets. That's 6 midfielders. With 2 of those midfielders filling in major minutes at CB just like last season. One of those midfielders (Iniesta) who will fill in as an attacker.

Messi has never played one of the 3 midfield positions for us. When he plays as an attacker sometimes during the game he will drop back but he's never taken one of those 3 midfield spots so I'm not sure what you're talking about that he will definitely play midfield. Your argument is contradictory, why will Messi 'definitely' play in midfield if your argument is we already have too many midfielders to play? You're trying to exaggerate the facts which diminishes your argument.

Besides, if we do sign Cesc there's a good chance we will phase out Keita within a year. Keita will turn 32 in January, Xavi will turn 32 in January. It's easy to say we don't need Cesc NOW. But within a year we'll be desperate for another good midfielder. Why not be proactive instead of reactive?

            Depth chart

            Frontline – Messi-Villa-Pedro-Alexis-Iniesta-Afellay

            Centerback – Puyol-Pique-Abidal-Mascherano-Busquets-Fontas

          • ćunga lunga says:

            BARCA WILL USE DAMIAO,,,,,,,,,,maybe
            barca dosnt need him

          • Anonymous_69 says:

The reason the midfield is so full is because Afellay and Messi will play there often.

Messi has played in the midfield three before, and I have a feeling he will be doing it more often. Afellay has always been a midfielder and Pep knows that. There are reports of Barcelona being interested in promoting Soriano or buying another Striker. Which is obviously necessary.

Iniesta hasn't played as an attacker for a very long time. His time there is done. We need at least 5 pure attackers, and Afellay and Iniesta can only be the extra sixth, since they will be midfielders. Buying Afellay and playing him on the wing is like buying Cesc and playing him as a DM. Doesn't make sense, does it?

Even with Keita out, there will be no need for another midfielder. Xavi has at the very least two more seasons of top class football in him. By that Thiago will be ready to start, along with a few other youth players. Then Cesc will always remain a 45M sub.

          • john says:

You're still making no sense. If we already have too many players to midfield and not enough players in attack why would we play 2 of attackers in midfield?

Your 'feeling' is illogical. So instead of playing 1 of our 6 midfielders in midfield and playing Messi as an attacker.

Your feeling is that Messi will play more in midfield, benching one of our top midfielders, and putting Soriano in attack? WTF?

Guardiola will play 100/100 times with Messi in attack and Busquets in midfield over Messi in midfield and Soriano in attack.

          • Anonymous_69 says:

Afellay is not an attacker. Never was. He can play there, and he played there last season out of necessity, but Pep knows he is a midfielder. And it's just a prediction, but I believe Messi will be playing as a number 10 more often. And let's just assume that will not happen: we still have 7 midfielders for 3 positions, WITHOUT CESC.

Putting Messi in midfield, and playing Sanchez…

We have no idea how Pep will play Soriano next season. You predicting that is just like me predicting where Messi will play.

Let's say we buy Cesc. That automatically means no more players. Give me a realistic scenario for next season when a 45M sub will be necessary.

          • Anonymous_69 says:

And insead of buying an extra midfielder that Masch can fill in at CB, wouldn't it make more sense to buy another defender? And that's what I'm trying to say. There are other positions which actually need filling. We can't just overload on the midfield and play them in attack and defense when the moment asks for it. We need actual defenders and attackers. Not Masch and Busquets at CB, and not Afellay and Iniesta on the wings.

    • nina says:

Cesc sucks! Im sick and tired og this Cesc thingy. Fuck Cesc!

    • LeRoy says:

I think if Fabregas signs with us Thiago should NOT give up the number 4 jersey for him . Sedoorf did the same with Ronaldinho . He refused to give him the number 10 jersey . Good for him .

  9. love me barca says:

i didnt forget pinto mistakes vs sociedad last season that made our lose.
He has good and bad reactions but a GK shouldnt have been much mistakes bcuz his mistakes are impact in game and unforgettable for fans.
So a good GK should have been lower mistakes and pinto isnt good for his much mistakes.

  10. Some - Body says:

I told you that Carmona was going to be awesome. And what do you guys do to my comment? Thumb it down. LMFAO!!! Anyway Pinto is pretty old, so we have to think about a replacement for him. Muslera, young and good enough. WHY DIDN'T WE BUY HIM? Why did he go to Galatasaray? But as he is untouchable, lets just focus at the Juvenil and the B side, and continue producing our own products. Oier and Mino are RRRREADY!

  11. Josh says:

let thiago have the number 4 when the season starts, as a reward to the patience and maturity he has shown at Barça, unlike Fabregas who got impatient and left at 16 to go to Assenal and costing us a fortune to get him back.

    • LM10 says:

Plus, he only wants to come because Barca is at the top while Arsenal is hopeless and has hit rock bottom, with no chance of winning jack anytime soon.. he's a glory hunter.

  12. blopajmbar62 says:

i'm happy with the result…i mean come on…we played with barca b pretty much……PLUS somo of our best Barca future players …. ( rafinha alcantara, deulofeu and others ) were not present because they are with the national team under 20 that will play the world cup!!! imagine if we had them on the field………. xD

  13. iličič72 says:

What the fuck was Pinto doing today?!Hope it was just a bad game for him.

    • @baonerges says:

pinto was running out of his box like a fat kid at a pickup game.

      "CAN I PLAY TOO GUYS?"
"NUUUU YOU'LL JUST MESS THINGS UP"

the guy's middle name is shenanigans, basically.

  14. Letho says:

Thiago with the number 4? does this mean no Cesc?

  15. Che says:

I agree we need to sell jeffren. but the problem is he doesn't want to go to smaller club. he refused to go to udinese, and just rejected bolton's offer. damn, i hate this guy, who the hell he think he is? he's no superstar!

    • selljeffren says:

      jeffren=waste of bench space

      • Bojan says:

my point exactly!!!! and so now we are all like sell jeffren. when i said that jeffren has to go and eventually bojan has to stay, i was thumbed down, and now at the sad end we all realise that we must sell jeffren. well we SOLD BOJAN 6423875623478 times better then jeffren and we let the injury prone one to stay. jeffren is a must sell/loan person this instant!

        • Zorro says:

          bojan=jeffren=waste of bench space

          • Write_theFuture says:

Bojan at least contributed to the team when he was playing, even if he made youthful mistakes at times. Bojan also had great memories and moments in the past, so fans knew there was hope and knew what he had in him. Bojan is also just 20. Jeffren is different on these levels.

          • john says:

Whatever, Bojan had a higher goal per minute ratio than Villa or Pedro.

The guy got 10 minutes per game and people were upset he didn't score goals. He did amazing at the end of last year when Zlatan sucked.

          • Zorro says:

Nonsense, Bojan goal ratio is 0.19, Pedro 0.42, Villa 0.44. Football is not about statistics alone, its about game you play in the field, not statistical races. Even Huntelaar is better than Messi in a term of goal ratio, does it mean he's better than Messi?

  16. Tank says:

Does anybody know if Puyol has injured himself again? I was only able to see the preparations for the match on a German TV stream and you could see Puyol heavily limping with a big ice bag round his knee.

  17. Barcelona4ever says:

With puyol struggling with injuries and a long season approaching us… It will be a good idea to keep romeu instead of selling him to chelsea. Im sure we will be seen both busquets and mascherano as CB's some point during the season. Thats why I believe romeu should not leaved.

    • barcayute says:

yes but why we neva bought back botia

      • guest says:

or give henrique a chance. surely he's better than milito.

        • Anonymous_69 says:

It's true. Henrique has played well at Leverkusen and Racing, and he has developed nicely. He is a very aggresive defender, and he would surely make a reliable sub. I would take him over Albiol.

  18. Thiago10 says:

Squad for start of the season

    Goalkeepers: Valdes, Pinto

Defenders: Alves, Fontas, Adriano, Puyol, Milito, Pique, Maxwell, Abidal

Midfielders: Thiago, Xavi, Keita, Iniesta, Mascherano, Busquests, Fabregas( Hopefully)

Fowards: Villa, Messi, Pedro, Alexis Sanchez, Afellay

I think that by the end of the transfer windown Jeffren would have been sold and maybe JDS too.

    • Canuck Cule says:

I like, but if we seriously think Milito is good enough as a filler for those lower-mid table teams we have another thing coming.

His quality is very poor and he's living off his name because if he played like this 5 years ago, none of us would know who he is.

I hope we get Cesc too. We're going to have two world class midfields.
      u pick the combo….Xavi-Iniesta, Xavi-Thiago, Iniesta-Cesc, Cesc-Thiago(back-ups! awesome!)Iniesta-Thiago, Cesc-Xavi ahhhhhhhh we're sooooooo sick!!!!

    • Anonymous_69 says:

There will need to be a few changes. Best case scenario, Maxwell and Milito are replaced, Jeffren is sold, Soriano is promoted, no Cesc, Afellay moved to the midfield.

      • john says:

You're complaining about how we have too many midfielders and not enough attackers. Yet you're advocating for Afellay to move to midfield?

Why do we need Afellay to be our 7th midfielder if he's guaranteed a spot as our 5th attacker? This way we could incorporate Soriano as our 5th attacker who we trust even less than Afellay?

You sure make a lot of sense.

        • @bojantee says:

afellay plays very poor when he is a winger. His best is an attacking midfield
see him at psv right? I think he’s better than cesc

        • Anonymous_69 says:

The simple answer is: BUY AN ATTACKER! Is is that difficult? With Afellay, our midfield is complete. Afellay can switch to the wing occasionally, but he will always be a midfielder. My argument is our midfield is easily our most complete position, and our attack is our most depleted. And that in order to solve that, we should not spend money on another midfielder in order to push Afellay and Masch out of position, but to actually buy a real attacker and a real defender.

  19. Messilina says:

    Sell him

  20. !@# says:

OT: I really dislike this year's home kit. watching the game, i missed the clearly recognizable blaugrana colors; this year's shirt colors just…"mesh" (for lack of a better word). also, did i miss something: how long has Herbalife been a sponsor on the kit? and finally, does anybody know if the players were wearing some special undershirt? i ask because i noticed "humps" between the shoulderblades of some of the players.

    • nia says:

I think the home kit is ok. Herbalife are the sponsors for the world football challenge that a few other teams are involved in and the 'humps' between the shoulder blades were the battery packs for the heart monitors they wear during some of the preseason games.(i think they are the battery packs)

  21. FcB says:

I would love it if it come a Dani Alves type of player from la masia.

  22. Milad says:

Pinto is out of control. He has always been.

But he isn't going to play a lot anyway and I would say he is ok as a #2.

But sometimes, he has some pretty astonishingly stupid plays…

  23. Frank says:

Pinto must go and leave us in peace instead of causing ore blunder

  24. melissafcb says:

in work when i saw the pen shootout! lol……………..thiago scored the first goal of the season
