SPECTACULAR UNBELIEVABLE INCREDIBLE PHENOMENAL INDESCRIBABLE STUNNING, these are my words, this game was really OUTSTANDING , all the combinations…all the passes..I even cant catch what player had made a pass because of all the rotations. But I must admit that Villarreal isnt at their top form, and their pressing wasnt good enough to stop Barca. And thats the only reason why this formation is dangerous, for the small games its brilliant but I wouldnt recommend it for the Cl and against big rivals. Is Pedros injury bad?? THIAGO MESSI FABREGAS thats the most surprising combination for me. I cant wait for the next match and the sad thing is the International break :/
I think there is a positive side to the Ibrahimovic calling Pep ‘the philosopher’. Hope he gets his spanking next month @ New Camp. He must have been awed by Pep’s understanding of football. Now i see why Pep never bothered to buy a defender. I refused to think that Villareal refuse to press us, when Barca step up their game opponents look ordinary. Valdes’ save and his performance against Real Madrid has shown that he can face barrages of shots and make world class saves. Pep has a more quality squad than last year and i see him doing better rotation to prevent burning out. Am glad to see that Fabregas and Thiago are been tried in Messi’s ‘false 9′ position too. I hope they excel. Pep is now having many tricks up his sleeves now and giving opponents more to worry about.

i thought he played well. Kept the ball moving and i don't think he lost or misplaced a pass when he came on. could have had an assist with the over the top pass to thiago except thiago did not finish.

3-4-3 should be even more fearsome with ALVES, PIQUE and PUYOL in the backline (and then what to do with the brilliant Abidal and Adriano? It's just too good a squad, when all are fit…), and XAVI starting in midfield with BUSQUETS or MASCH and then to fill the two remaining spots with THIAGO, CESC or INIESTA. Man, this squad is just too good to define one starting lineup… Guess we'll see a lot of rotation then this season, which is very good for the team to keep its momentum in the later stages of the season.
Forward line would be MESSI and fill up the two other spots with ALEXIS, PEDRO or VILLA, though I really think Alexis should start, he's giving the attacking line a new dimension.
Alves as RB in 3-4-3 is not ideal.
Although it would just force a rotation from "pivot of the diamond" to move into middle of defense to cover for Alves, so its not out of the question as well.
You will miss out on his attacking play more though.
Masc today didn't go forward and held his line.
Its interesting to see whether Pep sticks to this all the matches or occasionally, as this match 5 normal defenders were out so his hand was forced.

In any case, whether Pep plays 3-4-3 or 4-3-3 he has an abundance of talent at his disposal and will not be able to fit in all the players that deserve a barca starting spot (and thus one in any other team in the world) – such is the amount of class in this squad.
alves would probably be the right winger in that formation with a free license to roam up and back…not too different to what he does in Barca's 4-3-3 anyway
this formation would probably not be against the biggest teams tho, and he is a player who can adjust his game to be more/less attacking when needed.

I am also fed up with how easily cr7 scoring goals, seriosly the gap between barca/madrid and the rest of the la liga is becoming a joke. the days when deportivo A madrid, valencia, seville used to be strong, heck betis had at one point the best wingers in teh world, joaqin and denilson, what going on now, the epl with all its money are taking the best players from these side, mata, torres, silva, aguero, la liga is becoming a feeder club, apart from us and madrid the rest dont have a chance. i fear for this league
The only positive is that La liga continues to produce (or more like are forced to produce) more home grown talent. That may be better in the long run for not only the league but also the National side of Spain. I hope to the high heavens that the TV revenue thing is sorted out fast so that other clubs can atleast afford to keep their products!
true.. u can see that all the young spain team have the same football identity as the senior squad (which is completely different for other national teams) and that there are more spanish players in the epl than english players in la liga… so its not even close to comparing spain to a competition like scotland, which alot of people complain about. i do agree about the TV rights tho, i would like to see more la liga teams keep their best players because that is how competition is increased for Barca, which forces us to improve

but the worries about la liga are fair enough. but consider those players: mata, torres, silva, aguerro… in la liga they were big names, but not the biggest. in the epl, they are probably the biggest and best players (for those who actually know about football)… so what im saying is, Barca and Real are just too far ahead of the rest of the league BUT I think the 3rd-8th teams in la liga are as good as the top half of the epl. but epl teams dont have to deal with a Real or Barca in their league, two of the best teams in the world and probably with barca, one of the best in history.
i agree with you, but hopefully the tv money gets sorted out so these players can stay in la liga, with this pattern, the english national team will decline and the spanish will only get better, i am happy about that, but having to listen to epl lovers comparing la liga to scottish league makes me angry. and this comping from fans of epl where 12 out of 19 epl championship went to man u, yeah what a competetive league that is.
i just hope, the 4 spainsh sides get far in the champions league this year, villareal vs barca, madrid vs valencia in the semi finals, that would be amazing,

i remembere back in teh days, what a team deportivo was, mackay, valaron, mauro silva, they destroyed Milan 4-0 overturning 3-0 defeat in the champions league to go throug, djalmina also played for them, bebto, you name it, valencia were also awesome, seville. i am delighted malaga have the money now, there sqaud looks decent, we need this competition returned in this league, cr7 scoring 40 league goals was a disgrace, and he has alredy a hatrick, i wont bet agains him scoring 60+ goals this year, that would be just two shameful.

I like the idea of registration, but sometimes fans of other clubs are really good to have around. Different perspectives are good. For example, Apollo is a pretty good Madrid fan to have around, even though we've had our disagreements. We don't want the place to become an echo chamber. Registration might cut down the trolling, though, which would be great.
