sorry for OT: On swedish television they said that "barca has now as many CL-wins as arch-rivals Real Madrid and Milan". I know that with the "new" CL they have the same amount of cups. But could anyone explain to me how things are? What was the "old" CL, what rules and so on. And how this "new" CL is by some considered to be a different championship from the one where Real Madrid won 1956, -57, -58, -59 and -60. And they still say that no team has managed to win CL 2 times in a row…

Real won 5 trophies when it was a joke of a competition…. They got lucky … Probably only 4 teams in the whole comp
real won its first 5 trophies with di stefano, who many people forget was supposed to go to barca. history would have been VERY different had he not been manipulated into joining madrid.
The old European Cup was a Mickey Mouse competition . In the beginning ,only league champions were taking part . Of course Franco made sure that Real Madrid won by all means possible . Only 6-7 games were needed to make it all the way to the final . Barça had to play 12 games before reaching the final . Besides the quality of the teams were mediocre at best . The best of that era , ie; Real Madrid would struggle to survive in the Seconda Division these days . Barça: 4 Champions League titles . Real Madrid : 3 Champions League titles , 6 Mickey Mouse titles !!

Man, I just LOVE Villa's celebratory slides… his second during the manita vs. Madrid was excellent, but this one was also pretty wonderful. Let's hope next season he gets a lot more practice with it

Well, they are at their best now, and the world is ready to be invaded in a football sense, because I truly believe Barca and La Masia has made it so boring to watch other teams play…I am so happy to be able to watch these guys play…remembering the 3-3 barcelona-celtic game, 3 of my mates and myself cried watching that game because it was so beautiful to watch…yesterday I cheered for Messi, Barca and all the team…I wish I was a catalan for just 1 night…congratulations and thank you La Masia…

For the golden boot only La Liga goals count, so the boot will be for Ronaldo, with some difference. Still, if you take out the penalties it would be very tied…
the golden boot is CR7's. his goals might have come when the league was done already but they still count. Messi though will get the UCL golden boot for the third time in succession. He is also most likely gonna win the Ballon d'or for the third time in succession.

Pedro goal was also great!!! The way he shoots the ball far, far away from Van Der Sar can reach!!! But the best part is the way he run away from the mark and kept himself on-side until Xavi gave him the ball. Anybody can kick a football, but you have to be a very good player to make the whole play…
for me, the best part of pedro's goal is his first touch…i just rewatched it 5 times. the control is sooooo perfect. he gets the angle and the weight just perfect, all while settling the ball to roll flat. the fact that you hardly notice it just shows how farking good it is….

i noticed that too. you can't tell me these players don't have passion for the game, the team, and eachother. and messi's goal celebration was just pure elation and passion. no chest thumping. just pure exuberation waiting to be shared with the fans and his teammates.

Wow.. What a day yesterday was for me! London was alive with the colours of Barca. Everywhere I went, supporters supporters supporters. Chanting at every point. I had goosebumps all the way up to Wembley, the atmostphere within the stadium was electric, something I will never forget.
Through out yest, I had seen a few people with the new shirts. Didnt like it! Unicef at the back is extremely small. Only thing I can think how it will make it better, for me personally. CLUB WORLD CUP BADGE!

In any other club they seem to have 1 or 2 midfielders and they think that's enough but Barca has such a system that could absorb 6 men in midfield and work like clock work and style.They came to the conclusion that if you master the Center (like in chess ,If you are a chess player that is the key point,control of the center)you control the game ,specially if the players can be so polyfacetic and do any job in the field if the need be and working so hard (let's not forget that).Another aspect of it is that they have a great team spirit and you can see that when they celebrate any goal you can feel the amazing conexion between them !!!GREAT TEAM!!!!!!
