      villa been too unreliable thus far this season in front of goal for you to say that with confidence lol. with that said he had scored some fantastic goals as well, just saying he should be putting it more than he has thus far

      i doubt villa will score since he will has like 50/50 there .. but if messi score and then suddenly all camp nou become silent as what they saw is just unbelieveable….
      any of you guys ever imagine if alexis and messi play in the same game at their top form ??
      lets say they ball got by xavi in barca penalty box and pass it to alexis.. alexis dribble pass 3 player until he rich the opponent field and dribble pass 1 player and pass to messi and incredible dribble pass 3 player and a 1-0n-1 to keeper and he chip the ball like he did againts mexico… and that is just crazy….

        Why not? its a team game, of course it would have been a spectacular goal had he done it, but if he passed to Villa who was asking for the ball, and no one marking him it would have been one-on-one with keeper…and possibly goal. Just saying Messi sometimes needs to choose the right pass when in 18 yards box.
        Against Valencia he could have pulled the ball back for Xavi (who was angry at him after).
        despite this he is still the best scorer and assister maybe we rely too much on him sometimes.

          i fully agree but still this can easily be allowed to such a prolific goal scorer and asster. i wished messi did not pass and score it himself which then would be a great goal. but again i wished that may be we were safely leading the game.

    I don't care if it was a goal.. he was just pure selfish at that time. I know that maybe he's the best or prolific or the best goal ratio or whatever you wanna call it, but selfish is selfish. I can still remember the famous Messi-Villa argument a few months ago, and after this, I'm starting to dislike Messi's selfishness (I used to love he's being selfish because well, he makes goals). But enough is enough. Like it or not, I can see Messi acts like our another Dinho. Our play is beginning to Messi-sentric. Hopefully not as bad as Dinho used to be though. I can only pray for that.

    Sometimes I get the feeling that whenever CR7 tops to el Pichichi's spot, Messi always gets more selfish. It's like Messi knows that CR7 tops it all the time and decided to force some moves to make goals for himself. I hope I'm wrong.

    PS: Let's see how much thumbs down I'll get from Messi's foolnatic fans out there by saying this. ;)

      Calm down. We were 3-0 up with 25 or so minutes to play. If it was a different type of situation than yeah we should criticize him for being selfish. He is not like many other players and guess what? He has 9 assists already. If there is one person who has the right to be selfish than that is Messi because he is the best in the planet.

      The main reason you might get thumbs down is because you said Messi will just be another Ronaldinho which is completely obsurd.

      messi and selfish in the same sentence. Messi has 9 assists! He cld ve scored and he has the ability to. One or two flashes of ‘ selfishness’ is good. It creates those magical moments.
