totalBarça ~ Phase II

totalBarça ~ Phase II

Hello Friends!

It has been since last September that totalBarça has been a part of all our lives – that’s 6 months!  Oftentimes, it’s those first 6 months that determine whether a site will survive.  Fortunately, we have a great community here and your readership and interactions among one another are what keeps the totalBarça team motivated to operate this site.

As of today, March 14, 2010 – we are pleased and proud to present to you a new site design.  The creation of this design has been in the works for a couple months now and it will be used to help us get ready for totalBarça’s Phase III (more details to come later).  Among many intents and purposes, the main reasons for this new site design is to help totalBarca be more visually appealing, allow for more features, and provide us more opportunities to experiment with other social/web tools.

To give you a quick heads up about the new design – the featured articles are now located right below the navigation, in form of 4 boxes. The rest of our content stream has retained its look and feel, with the sidebar providing you one click access to all the important sections.

There will be nicks and bruises as we fine-tune the running of this new design, so please continue to send us feedback and any information that may help YOUR daily Barça feed become even better. As usual, feel free to contact us at web@totalbarca.com.

At this time, we would also like to share with you some of the unique aspects of the totalBarca team – just to give you an idea of who and what it takes to keep something as special as this going:

  • Around 30 team members of totalBarça in total, with several people with dual roles
  • ~20 writers
  • ~15 editors
  • ~8 translators
  • ~8 video/media specialists
  • ~3 social media specialists
  • And a whole lot of crazy Culés

Lastly, in case you don’t know, we have an official fan page on Facebook here: totalBarça on Facebook totalBarça

You can also follow our latest news updates, and catch live match updates on totalBarça on Twitter Twitter, and also follow the site by subscribing to our totalBarça RSS feed RSS feed.

We would like to give Aditya (KnivesOut) a special thanks for making this new design possible.  It’s almost always a team effort when completing tasks and projects for totalBarca, but with this initiative, Aditya really took the bull by the horns, so to speak.

Until next time,

Visca el Barca!
