Zlatan Ibrahimovic vs. Arrigo Sacchi
Sweden international and Barca forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic (28) who is on a loan deal with Milan was yet again the cause of a minor controversy after the Champions League game AC Milan played against AJ Auxerre this Wednesday. The player was first interviewed by a journalist in the stadium, and later on a commentator together with ex-coach of the Italian national team Arrigo Sacchi joined in. That’s when it all started…
Journalist – How did you feel in the first half, it wasn’t so good, but later you managed to put on the show? How are you feeling also from the physical aspect?
Zlatan – It was not so great in the first half, I wasn’t feeling 100%. The entire team was trying, but it wasn’t our game. In the second part, it became easier because we had more space and after the first goal it became even better. The second goal came and for me it felt it was getting a lot better than in the first half of the game. Because in the first half I wasn’t feeling like I was inside the game, Milan’s game. But it’s normal, it was my second game and it’s normal that we weren’t at our 100%. The first game was at home and it was not 100% as well.
Journalist – And what was your feeling after the goals, they were your first goals for Milan. Paradoxically it felt that, though you obviously don’t need it, you gained even more confidence in yourself…
Zlatan – Its normal, when you score a goal you gain more confidence and then everything picks up. Then the second goal came and you feel like it’s your game.
Journalist – At one moment you were handed a phone and it was probably Berlusconi on the other side…
Zlatan – Yeah, he congratulated me, he said he was happy especially for the team and also for me.
Journalist – They say that you’re not a key player in the Champion’s League, but tonight you made a mess of Auxerre, scored two goals all together…
Zlatan – I don’t know about the Champion’s League but I’m trying to give my best and now it’s the right moment for it. Those who say differently seem jealous. (Zlatan, Zlatan – from the studio…)
Journalist – [Arrigo] Sacchi said that if that pass hadn’t happened you couldn’t have scored that first goal…
Zlatan – Well even Sacchi seems jealous because he’s talking too much. He’s talking too much on TV and in the newspapers. If he wants to say something, he should come and tell me directly.
Studio – But it was a compliment!
Zlatan – Yeah, yeah but he was talking even before, when I was in Barcelona.
Studio – But I have to speak what’s on my mind, say what I think…
Zlatan – Yeah but if you want something, come to me, don’t talk only on TV.
Studio – I don’t want anything, they ask me something and I tell them what I think, without ever trying to offend.
Zlatan – I don’t care really, but when somebody speaks too much, he speaks too much and you’re one of those.
Studio – …it’s not very nice of you, Zlatan…
Zlatan – But even in Barcelona I heard talks.
Studio – But who is criticizing and yelling? He’s analyzing, maybe from your point of view is not very correct but it’s his right.
Zlatan – But we have to be realistic. The stuff when in Barcelona was all criticism. But it’s ok, you can think whatever you want, I’ll play my game. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it.
Studio – However, he only had good things to say about you tonight.
Sacchi – Look it’s only a relation of correctness and respect, like it should be. I’m only speaking my mind…
Zlatan – Fine, you don’t have to explain yourself. You don’t have to explain anything.
Sacchi – But I should tell you that you should also educate yourself.
Zlatan – Yeah yeah, ok…

Wow…and I thought during his year with us, "Hey, this guy isn't as bad as people say." So much for that.
To be fair to him, he didn't hae that attitude in Barcelona, well, at least with the Media. I still have mixed emotions about him leaving, although, after what he said about Pep, I thought it was a good thing.
Off topic, I can see Torres probably returning to Spain next season, can't see him at Liverpool anyway. I hope if he does, he doesn't go to Real Madrid.
Him, coming from Atletico and after the things he said about Real- I'm 99% sure he's not going to go there…
I doubt Real Madrid, remember he came from Atletico Madrid. Kind of like saying Raul or Guti would have gone to Atletico, very unlikely.
rahul came from pathetico youth system i know
there's only 1 destination in Spain for torres and that's barca so if he is coming spain it's to barca and if he leaves it's because the epl is injuring him too much. i can actually see him going to inter as well as juve and milan can't afford him and liver will be reluctant to sell to other epl clubs. barca on the other hand can't get him if cesc is going to join next season.
I would love to see him at Barca, a true number 9. I think we will find out his intentions after his game against Man Utd on Sunday, if he is fed up like in his last match, he will move
). I know he came through Atletico Madrid system but people change, anyway, I'm sure Barca would be more appealing.
With Ibra gone, wouldn't harm us to have a true no. 9 like Torres. Could give more players a rest and Bojan could be used on the wings, as the front three always interchange.
Torres is a great strikr but he is not needed and any money spent on hime would be a waste, and if he came he would block bojan. As of right now we have David Villa and in 3-4 time he might decide to retire it is during this time that Bojan will be ready to take his spot.
sorry to break it to you, but torres would never make it at barca. he doesnt have the required skills. its plain to see watching spain that he isnt capable of playing tiki-taka football. he relies on his speed and being unpredictable. his touch is way too heavy at times and his work rate isnt good enough. a great player but not in our system

what a prick…
good riddance!
Karate-kicking his teammates, alienating the local press….looks like the honeymoon is over!
Oh, and Zlatan? "I don’t care really, but when somebody speaks too much, he speaks too much and you’re one of those." Pot, kettle, black.
The funny thing is, Zlatan has a big mouth about Sacchi talking to the media instead of coming to him, while Zlatan went crying in the media about Pep. What an idiot.
Spot on.
And why did Zlatan cry to the media? Maybe cause his so called coach did not speak to him for a reason he does not have the guts to explain? So it makes you wonder… Doesn't it?
If he talks and react like that to criticism, I understand why pep didn't want to talk to him!!!
''Journalist – [Arrigo] Sacchi said that if that pass hadn’t happened you couldn’t have scored that first goal…
Zlatan – I don’t know about the Champion’s League but I’m trying to give my best and now it’s the right moment for it. Those who say differently seem jealous. (Zlatan, Zlatan – from the studio…)
Studio – But it was a compliment! ''
How is that a compliment can someone explain
a compliment to the pass = a compliment to the team effort that resulted in the goal?
not surprising that zlatan wouldn't understand that not everything is about him
Bad translation. Sacchi said that he wouldn't have scored if he hadn't large foot. Obviously, Zlatan wasn't in mood for jokes
oh.
in that sense of course it was an indirect insult
but with the english translation i thought it was a compliment.
The guy is obviously bitter and has a huge chip on his shoulder as he knows he will always be considered a failure in Barcelona and considered one of the worst flops in football history, 70 million euros and then offloaded after just one year.
lol one of the worst flops in football history? people like you make me laugh.
hes won his leagues for the past 5 years straight man…winning isnt flopping
What did he win on a personal level?? Fifa best player of the year? Nada. UEFA best forward of the year? Never!!! No, my friend, Inter won straight 5 ( and more) leagues, not Ibrahimovic. There is a difference.
What I heard is that Sacchi told him something like "you wouldn't have scored the first goal if you hadn't big feet". Sacchi might have meant that as a compliment but wasn't too obvious, was it? Add to that the past criticism by Sacchi and Zlatan's reaction doesn't seem too irrational…
Anyway, who cares, he's not our player anymore, his problems are only his and Milan's.
hmmm we still own him… he's only on loan this year.. if, a BIG IF, Milan dont buy him next year, he would have to be with our team and it might start to get ugly… at least for that sake, lets hope he plays well!
Nah, trust me, they'll buy him. Milan wouldn't even let Favalli go lol.
Sacchi ripped off him while he was Barca's player. Zlatan really doesnt like him.
Well i guess i wouldn´t be thrilled if someone told me that i wouldn´t have scored if i didn´t have big feet, Wich was what Sacchi said. I do not defend Zlatan, but let´s get the translation right before you judge him.
"Sacchi – But I should tell you that you should also educate yourself."
LOL
so many ibra-haters
those who bash ibra should at least know the actual words of sacchi as well as their past histroy.
The guy is no longer our player so why bother with this. I backed up a lot but he crossed the line when he ditched the players at the Gamper and mouthed off at Pep.
meant to say I backed him up a lot, not actually go beep beep as I back up
Lol Guys, Is Zlatan EVER at his 100%. The guy always refers to how he is not 100% when matches aren't going or haven't gone well.
Well explain it then how he even could be 100% when he had like 2-3 trainings with a whole new team and 1 game? It's like sayoing Villa is 100% at the moment, and Villa knows the players at least from the national team which plays the same way as Barca do. And we have not even seen close to a villa that is playing 100%.
I guess he demands a lot of himself.
Wau, it almost sounds like an episode of Crackovia starrin Zlatan…."ZLATAN" (arms open wide) "ZLATAN" (arms open wide) "ZLAAAATAN" (arms open wide, chin up)
I made a post earlier and I'm not sure it will be approved but I just want to say a few words about all the haters out there.
Zlatan is in a league of his own. It's a shame that some people out there actually hate him as a player because the way he acts outside the field. People judge him and in my opinion it's because of jealousy. They are pissed off that a cocky guy from the streets is getting all this attention and money.
I'm really tired of all these people taking every chance they get to take down Zlatan but he have shown them, he have shown them good. He comes back everytime and proves with his oversized feet and oversized confidence that he's the best player on the field. Many people don't think he is the best player in the world but his character makes him one of the most greatest football personalities in history.
I wish him all the luck in Milan. You can hate on me and on him but you will never take a way the fact that this guy is the reason I started watching football form the start….
Now show some class and stop hating because his feet were too big for Barcelonas shoes.
i used to watch all inter games so that i could see zlatan (i was still a barca fan)…when he came i was sooo happy…when he left i was sooo sad
Through the course of a year here is some of what Mr Sacchi has said:
(Former AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi has warned his old club over the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Sacchi forewarned Barca about buying the former Inter Milan star last summer. "I knew this would happen from the beginning. A soloist cannot play in an orchestra. Ibra is a great soloist, but finds it hard to conform to others," said Sacchi. "If (Pep) Guardiola had been able to find a way of working with him, it would have been incredible.")
(Arrigo Sacchi has taken fresh aim at Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swede flopped in Wednesday's Champions League failure against his former club Inter Milan. And ex-Real Madrid general manager Sacchi said: "He's not suited to a team that works from one script. He knows only his role. "Barca was wrong with Ibrahimovic. Solo he is a great player, a phenomenal talent, but he only plays and sings his own song.")
(Former Italy and AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi says Barcelona gaffed buying Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Inter Milan. Sacchi, who also worked for Real Madrid, says Ibra's game doesn't suit the system of coach Pep Guardiola. "Barca erred by signing Ibrahimovic. He is a fantastic player in an individual system. But in a team system he costs the others to get him involved," said Sacchi. "So far, there's been big problems. I hope Pep can solve them. Maybe in a couple of weeks he will, that would be fantastic.")

He clearly made fun of him to get him angry
Okay Mr. Sacchi, playing Mr. nice guy by now sure is not working. You gave yourself the right to say whatever you think then you have to listen to what people think of you!!!
FOR ALL Total Barca Fan;
Why in the world are you thinking following Ibrahimovic News.
Why you seem like you are after him cheering for all negative stuff against him.
You are not a real fan if you are always picking on one player or the other.
A true fan will be true to his club and to his player and don';t act like jerk!
It seam to me that you are the worst type of fan any player could wish for.
Really Shame on you!!!!![youtube chYPnIXQBAc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chYPnIXQBAc youtube]
I always supported Zlatan, and I was also angry on Pep when he was forced to leave…
BUTH when Zlatan started to attack the 'club' FC Barcelona he went 1 step to far !
With that he attacked the culé's and the players.
When you leave a club like he did, attack the board and yes attack Pep. I understand that BUTH never attack the club and there fans. Because thats very low to the ground!
From the moment he did that my support for him melted like snow in the sun!
No more Ibra for me !!!
"No more Ibra" should be both ways. Don't cheer for him and don't make fun of him, or hunt him.
Regarding what he said about Pep, you can think of it like this; the media demanded an explanation for the move and Pep has already stated that he is better not say anything.
His words was " Pep wanted me to leave", " what was the problem? I don't know, ask the philosopher" , " He killed my dream playing for Barca"
What kind of bad mouth are you talking about? Philosopher is not a bad word in my opinion.
I agree that he attacks Pep and the board.
Buth last week he attacked the club and thats my problem
If what Ibra said about Pep is not really criticism, then what Sacchi said about Ibra can hardly be counted as criticism either. So Sacchi said Ibra is a great talent, a phenomenal player, but a spectacular soloist who might not fit in an orchestra…doesn't sound too insulting to me…at least not to warrant that kind of totally rude reaction.
If Ibra had left with dignity, he would have kept it. For him and his agent to say all sorts of things about Pep and then to expect Barca fans to stay loyal to him is just not going to happen IMHO.
and the translation is incorrect so you have been fooled by total barca. The major insult that was left out from the article is not presented the way it should have been.
Exactly when did Ibra "attack the club FC Barcelona"????? I have seen and read about everything Ibra has said since he left Barca in Swedish media, international media and every single time he has been asked about Barca he has said – I love Barca the club, i love the fans, and i loved my team-mates. Every single time. But when it came to pep, all he has said is that he did not understand wtf the problem was. simple as that.
No one's fault, no one to blame, just drop it and let's focus on what we got. This is retarded to even discuss.
Ibra is not an Barca player any more. So, thank you for what you did and lets support our current players. and stop whining and talking about the past. SHUT THE **** UP AND BEHAVE LIKE REAL FANS DO!
VISCA BARCA!
Agree with everything you said.. veryh nice post
You do know Zlatan is still a FCB player just loaned out, right?
We are not hunting to make fun of him, totalBarca will cover everything on FCB players.
I've posted two posts and none of them have been approved and I have no idea why. I have not used fawl language, all I wanted was to explain this situation and the type of person Zlatan is.
I used to like the guy and was excited about his arrival, however this guy's behaviour is appalling. His personality is essentially a more Masculine version of Christina Ronaldo!!!!! U can't be too good a person if you allow that blabber mouth to be your manager.
LOL! Since when was totalbarca a site where we would bash our current/ex players? I thought we moved on? I love this site, but clearly, some members have some serious growing up to do? Why post videos which increases hatred and dislike? Barca is more than a club and this website has been more than a club, but these posts are making a mockery of what Barca is and what Barca stands for. While Ibra was at Barca, has he EVER done anything like this? Besides, we don't even know the full story. If you are posting videos of Ibra, why not post his goals too?
Shame on those few, picking on Ibra! If you are going to post videos vilifying Ibra, post his goals and camaraderie with Ronadinho too, two ex Barca players.
Vamos Barca!
Listen up people, and listen carefully, if you don't know the whole story of Ibra vs Sacchi then please for gods sake, do not comment, it makes you seem really stupid.
As in any other things you comment about, where you only know half of what's going on. It's very logical you do not comment about it. Get your facts right before you speak up. That is at least what you can expect from yourself.
what is the only logical explanation to all these unnecessary posts. I guess that total Barca has been run by punch of teenagers??????? That makes them "real mule"
actually, there's more grade schoolers running this site. I'm 8 years old.
Take it easy he's gone but if you wanna to follow someone it's RONALDINHO.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HaE4d3nAL0g
I totally forgot about this guy. I was much more focused on the awesomeness our current team is showing
In a team where Messi is worshiped, he still scored 21 goals. Leave him alone. I dont know what you cules are so happy for? Villa has only scored 2 goals for you this season ad the way things are looking barca will only win 1 cup this year if there are lucky. Last time i checked Ibra scored in his 1st 5 league games for barca. All this Ibrahimovic hate has to stop. Serves Arrigo right. He talks too much.
Leave Ibra alone, Arrigo should get a real job and leave the gossip girls network alone. Cule's you have things to worry about like more attacking options and replacing Abidal and Puyol because they are getting old and tired of running instead of picking on the man that scored 21 goals in a new team filled with messi worshipers from the new president to the coach and d*ft fans on this site. PS: He scored in his 1st 5 games as a barca player in league, a record David Villa will never have a gain. lol You uys lost 2-0 to a newly promoted side last time i checked. This is going to be longest Messi era season for barca.
God bless you. People here are wanabe cules and dont understand that all this wining is new to barca. Barca has 3 champions league titles. 2 from Ronaldinho and Eto respectively. Real has 9, Milan have 7, liverpool have 5, Bayern and Ajax have 4, so i dont know why these guys feel on top of the world. I remember before Rijkard put this team together how Real was the only team in Spain to watch. Now all we hear is all these studio gangster talk on blogs.
well, I love totalbarca.com but I don't think this news should appear here. Why? Ibra is not longer our player so there is no reason to waste our time and energy discussing such issues, but I want to add sth too.
I'm not Zlatan hater nor his greatest fan, but when he played in FCB I supported him, just as every player who wears blaugrana's jersey. As I wrote in my comments many times before, players come and go, all we have is our club. I supported Ibra till his last day in Barca, after his leaving I was disapointed, not only by decission but also the way he left club, and what he said after. But the fact that he left my beloved club doesn't mean that he is not good player anymore. I respect him as player, even if I don't like his way of being (or maybe what I know about him from media, as I don't know what person he really is). I was also sad about what he said about Pep and club, especially after so many signs of support he recieved from Barca's fans. But it's his right to express himself, and I don't want to waste my energy and time to try to understand it. Since the day he left Barca, for me he is just another player outside our team, but I don't forget good moments he had with Barcelona. Right now he is Milan's player, and it's their problem what Zlatan says/do in media. So let's concetrate on our players and club and don't waste energy on stupid arguments about Zlatan. PEACE to all!
That translation is horrendous. Please ask someone else to go through the translation.
it is quite obvious that zlatan was nd is a great talent….pep should have found a way to get the best out of him……..zlatan is king of football
