yeah cesc did say that.. but he also said that he loves arsenal and wenger is like his dad… i can't really make out what he really meant in the interview…

Barcelona say the club have 40M for tarnsfer purpose but only offer to buy a great player who are only 23 years and have 5 years contarct for 29M. And Barcelona just sold a benchwarmer(Yaya) for 27M. So the saga will keep continue until Cesc demand a tranfer or Arsenal sold Cesc to madrid.

Rumours wont end as long as transfer window is open, if he doesnt join us before that. I wouldnt put too much faith in Thiago and especially JDS, they are nobodies until they start producing and its stupid to say that either of them will become as good as Cesc who is a proven star at 23. Dont forget that if Barca wants to keep playing like they do now then they need to have a player like Xavi and Cesc is the only player who can replace him in the long run

I don't get it why papers have to make such big deal out of nothing. Until is official is meaningless to talk about. But they have to write about something and transfers are right now the biggest thing and so we have to read all stupid rumors.
I was in Poland 2 years ago. Haven't seen much of it though. And we went there with a bus and 24 hours ride didn't really make our trip better. (I'm from Slovenia)

seeing the youngsters yesterday i strongly support muniesa/oriol for full first team promotion. fontas/thiago are also candidates. we probably can win everything this season without buying any other player,if we stay injury free or minimum.
other than ozil who we can buy very cheap i dont want another transfer now(if cesc's fail), i want cesc in the team mainly for the dressing room. it will give our team a great boost in morale and confidence.

Muniesa IMO not yet- but next year he might be ready. Next season we are playing in the Second Division, so those guys will be really tested- Thiago, Oriol, Muniesa, Fontas, etc. If Pep believes some of them are ready now- he should promote them by all means. But if they are not- let them spend one more year in the reserves, playing week in week out and gaining very valuable experience…
As for Cesc… it's not even about the dressing room- I just want those stories to stop emerging! This is as bad as when Real wanted Ronaldo. It's quite… I don't know- I am personally a bit ashamed. This is getting (?- probably already got) way out of hand…

Agree with you. The difference between the clubs is that for Barca it is very important for the player to feel proud to wear the Barca shirt. If a player even hints at wanting to wear another clubs jersey, then he doesnt deserve to be in Barca.. and that applies to everyone.. including Messi/Xavi/Iniesta.
But in Arsenal's case, they dont require their player to have that much pride to play for their jersey. Their mentality is like this… " Cesc wants to go to Barca. Who cares. We will lock him up here regardless of which team he wants to play for"

Hopefully this means the end to all this drama. I will be glad if Cesc doesnt come. We can finally move on and get back to doing what we do best… playing the best football on earth.
As far as Arsenal is concerned… now they are left with a really disgruntled and disillusioned player! They can go back and resume their incredible trophyless run.

Thank you to the Barca fans who have expressed empathy for Arsenal on this site. It is nice to see some understanding from Barcelona supporters who appreciate the damage the Cesc transfer saga has caused to relations between the 2 clubs and the fans. I really hope we DO NOT meet in the Champions league next year. Arsenal fans always had great respect for Barcelona and its players. That has now been destroyed and I think any meeting between the club's fans could become very nasty.
