Ribery: “Henry would like to see me at Barcelona”
Bayern Munich winger and France international midfielder Franck Ribéry (26) has admitted to he would like to switch clubs in the summer and says his compatriot Theirry Henry would love to see him at Barcelona.
Speaking to RTL radio, the 26-year-old also admitted that he could be tempted to join up with France team-mate Thierry Henry at Barcelona.
“I get on really well with him and I know he would also like to see me there,” Ribéry said. “I know a lot of people would like to see me stay [at Bayern]. Whether I stay or go it won’t be an easy decision.”
“Bayern is still a big club. It’s one of the biggest in the world but I find that our team is not as strong as other teams, like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea”, said the France winger, who has been heavily linked with a move to Spain. “Maybe we will have trouble competing against these teams.
“I want to win trophies and to enjoy myself. I’m not 20 any more. I am closer to the end [of my career] than the beginning.”
I doubt Henry will like it. Your arrival means end of his stay. No offense but its truth.
I see your point but henry isn't like that, I think he's here in barcelona to help barcelona.If he won't be a starter, fine. But when he gets the chance to play he will take it, but not to show that his good enough for a starter but there to help the players and barca, nothing else. If he will be pissed or not, pep will handle it. But henry is very down to earth and he will be more than happy to see Ribery in barca.

I assume Zidane would like to see Ribery at Real, so I assume this will balance the interests for Ribery to make his choice between Real and Barca.
I hope we won't get him, he is too injury prone. Keep Henry for the reminder of his contract and then, hopefully, Pedro will be good enough to be our first choice LW

why villa? he does have the scoring ability that ribery lacks, but we already got zlatan as CF. i don't understand where he will go in our system. and fact is that he's a CF not an LW which we want. that's what we did with henry, he was no LW but we turned him into one. and was he as good as in Arsenal, no way.

I wasn't haha, I was saying that pretty much all players perform better when they are at Arsenal than when they move to a new club. My comment had nothing to do with Ribery, I said its not right to say Villa cant adjust to the left side just because Henry hasnt always performed well for us.

Ribery is the man for the LF position. Nobody else. He is currently the best LF in the world and don't sell me the "he is injured all the time" story. There are times in the career when injuries happen and he will be fit very soon. Also, Silva is more injury prone if you ask me. NO FOR VILLA
well henry is gone next season and its pointless to renew his contract with bojan and pedro needing starts to play to their full potential…also ribery is not needed thats why barcelona is gonna buy fabregas…Its obious if their willing to spend su much money its because fabregas is gonna start,that means barcelona has enough cover at lw,iniesta,pedro,bojan,g.assulin
Ribery is hugely overrated, he is a Diego on the wing. Villa is a sure thing, he has already proven to be hugely effective playing with our midfielders for Spain, including playing out wide. Check his goal against Belgium if you doubt his ability to play on the wing. He has been one of the most consistent players in our league for years and is the only candidate i really consider Barca quality. He will make up for the goalscoring that Ibrah apparently lacks at times. Ribery is an egotistical brat and his public affection towards Real Madrid and disrespect towards Bayern proves, for me at least, that he does not deserve to represent our club.

Yes overrated. How much would we have to spend on him? 50 mil euro?? Arjen Robben cost Bayern 25 mil euro and is just as good as Ribery. So yeah definitely overrated and overpriced.
