Yeah, it's exactly a match like the one against Wigan that shows that Arsenal are simply not good enough to compete with the biggest teams in Europe. In case you didn't know, The EPL has only been won by either Chelsea or Man U in the last few years. Atleast there has been four different winners of La Liga in the last ten years. The EPL only has 3 different winners.

Real and Barca are the only real contenders for la liga, while the premier league has 3 or 4. you new boys really amaze me. valencia didn't have any of their starting defenders along with a CDM. thats make 5 players out and when you consider a club which had been in financial turmoil for a good 3 years and can only make free transfers then its quite a coup that a fearful attack like madrid only won it 2-0.

On a serious note, being a la liga fan for over a decade now, i've never seen a 24 gap between 2nd and 3rd. Never has a team reached the 90 point mark either, i dont know if the league is getting weaker or maybe its just a 1 year thing, but i hope teams dont roll over so easily. Valencia was a disgrace yesterday, also, the deportivo v almeria match was just aawwwwwwful. La liga is weak THIS YEAR so i hope normal service resumes next year

Actually he has a point, we have to admit that this year teams like Pethatico and valencia er a real joke (at least against Real). Offcourse when they play us they play as if their lifes were at stake… . the reason why EPL has become a 2-team league is simply because Barca has teh best team in history now and in EPL they would already be champions by now. Madrid just invested 250mio $ so they trash the other teams too. that explains the gap. In EPL no topteam can reach Barca/real level so they tend to lose more against teams like Wigan

Everton have a really great team.They beat Manchester and Chelsea this season,Aston Villa was in the final of the Carling Cup and they have a great team also.IMHO if the CL was chosen acoording to strenght of teams,we could have seen 8 EPL teams,6 La Liga teams in the group stages.

epl is more competitive because of the amount of money thrown into the league. people are taking one season and basing the whole league on it. their have only been two champions in epl for the past 5 years and this will be the 6th just like la liga.
epl always have the same top 4 except for this season cause tottenham or manc will break in to the top 4 while la liga's top 4 alternates almost every season. la liga on a whole has won more european cups and cl than italy and england. i feel the only reason most people here are calling la liga poor is because real aren't losing or drawing to teams that give us trouble.
do anyone remember the times when real was the club to beat, teams were giving their all against real and not against us but real still had all the best players so they managed it, we can manage it cause we have great players and only if we had the all inspiring left winger, an uninjured iniesta and less injuries we would of won the league already. we are still in the cl as well. i can guarantee you that la liga will be better next season when everyone catch themselves, avoid injuries and find ways of beating barcelona and the new real madrid side. this is a bad season in la liga, don't judge the league so harshly because of it.
you people have really short memories. before this season people used to laugh at epl cause there was no competition cause a mid table or a team in 6th position can never beat a team in teh top which for like teh 9 years has been teh same.
this is teh only season where smaller teams have caused upsets on teh likes of manu, liverpool and chelsea. whereas upsets in liga is so common.
last season which were teh 3 toughest match that barca had faced osasuna, betis and espanyol are they big teams? atleti have beaten us last season and this season by playing open attacking football no team in these two seasons have beaten us by playing attacking football. that same atleti team gets beaten by xerez.

On their day (and with all their players fit and in form), Valencia, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, and Villareal are WAY better than Aston Villa, Everton, and even Liverpool. They are on the same level as Spurs and if La Liga teams had decent defenses and had money, they would be better than Man City.
