It’s never easy being part of management.  Given all the speculation (or confirmation) that is out there, what would you do for the following two players?  You can even make 2 choices!

    keep Ibra unless an offer of 40 million or more comes and sell Toure because Busi will still start and we can get like 25-30m for Toure right now

          and who will step up in case Villa or Messi or Pedro get injured ??? there is a high chance of that happening because of the extended run of their respective national team..

          grow up dude.. we cant just have 3 strikers and hop they are fit every match.. we need at least 4 quality forwards and then we can rely on Jeffren and Bojan for back up n super subs..

            @ barca well is true that we need 2 quality forwards, but answer this. Who will take the bench role? I mean out of the staring forwards pedro, Messi, ibra, and villa ibra is the one i see taking a bench role. Henry was benched by pedro last year, and I'm sure his expecting to have a staring position this year. So if pep benched ibra last year what makes you think he wont do the same this season? What we need is and older player who still has quality and wont mind a bench role, someone like larsson. I'm tired of saying this ibrahimovic is a great player, but just wont fit the system. Now I wish he would prove me wrong.

            well thats ur opinion. i dont agree with it but i respect it. Here is the issue though, what happesn when messi , villa, pedro or bojan gets injured? then u have 3 strikers for all the competitions we compete in. Dont forget after winter we pretty much play 2 games a week. thats waaaaay too much for 3 strikers

    Fucking stupid. Toure was magnificent, especially in big games. Busquets falls apart in anything important and shows his lack of class. The loss of Toure's presence will show next season.

        yeah there is a reason why del bosque is playing a double pivot so he can use busquets and not bench xabi.. he has changed the whole system to fit busi in.. he even said if he was playigfootball he would like to be like BUSQUETS!!

        yes he is young and does some errors, but there realy is something in this guy!!

        or are just both del bosque and guardiola idiots for using him ALL THE TIME..??

    surprised that many people voted to sell toure, guess it is because he seems to be pretty much gone. would love to keep toure and have equal rotation with him and busquets depending on opponent, but alas, at least busquets is putting in some amazing performances for spain, a good sign for the season ahead.

    I don't get it when i see reports of mascherano being linked with barca,,,, if we don't see busi being a regular starter next season why not keep toure itself… yes mascherano is young but toure is also good…
    so is it true that barca may bid for mascherano if we sell toure???

      and also it is nice to see a poll on the hot topic about ibra and toure… many people had many comments hope we can see all of them vote and see what everyone feels abt the 2 transfers.. i voted for keeping both ibra and toure…. every one have their own views… so hope people respect that… great work on the blog too…

    i onry care about what Pep thinks. i will respect his decision.
    but i would say for Ibra, Barca needs to keep him for 1 more year at least. what happened to him last season was totally not fair.if u sell Ibra now,i don't know how many ppl but at least the ppl in Sweden and his fans won't accept it.we don't have enough reasons to sell him now.Barca needs to be careful with their reputation especially for the new president.
    about Yaya,if Pep can't fix the situation between Yaya and SB, then pls don't waste his talent anymore.

    Ibra is a flop let him go so BARCA can start cutting thier losses. As for Toure i did want him to stay but a big player of his pedigree should not be on the bench by a player like Busi just because of what pep feels.

    In other words let him go to where he will continue to play as a play like TOURE have no business at the bench.

        the goal was given to him by Alves.Can ibra get past 2 or 3 player then score.Can ibra get us a hattrick very often as does our little master.

        16 goals goals aint shit for a 70M player! He was expected to be better than Eto'o(thats why we gave 45 plus Samu for him) but he failed miserably. Cant believe that some people are content with his goal tally and especially his lame overall displays, after New Year he was ridiculously bad and he nearly cost us also the league and especially in CL games he showed why and how he makes the team worse when he is on the pitch

        If Barcelona had a top class DM, he would be a starter ahead of Busquets. Toure has NOT been world class as a DM this season… Masch would obviously be a starter.

    Yaya is not good enough for the barca bench, he is too clumsy and couldn't pass the ball to save his life. He seems completely out of place in the barca midfield.
    Sell him and bring up Oriol next year.

    Ibra should only be transfered if the price is right. At least 40£.

    Yes toure is on his way out but his contribution will never be forgotten.Ibra is a waste who will shine just one month then goes to sleep for the rest of the season.

    Since we already have Villa let IBRA go as i believe our little bojan is more clinical than the big waste.

    I would sell Toure because he brings in a pretty penny, 32million worth. As much as I like him to stay, Pep doesnt use him and with 32million, we can find a [cheaper] player Pep wants would [probably] use on the team. I would keep Ibra because my common sense says that Ibra is only in 1st year and that we would lose many million pennies if we sold him for 40-50.

        It's not about his pace. He was terrific during the fall. Then his confidence went during the spring after his injuries and he started missing sitters. If he stays, he may wind up playing well next fall if he gets his confidence back. Or he may continue to miss goals that every other striker on the team would make. My preference, of course, is for him to return to his form last fall and stay.

      i agree with you on zlatan… But with toure i disagree: i love toure but this will only ruin his career if he stays on the bench… like it or not, busquets WILL be in the starting eleven next year… if toure is better than busquets is another debate but what is clear is that busi will be again our number 1… what i'm actually saying is that i love toure so much that i want him to leave so that he can play and grow as a footballer…

    Keep both. We would need to buy a replacement for Touré, and Villa has shown at the WC2010 that he is excellent on the left wing, so we can play Villa – Ibra – Messi up front. Pedro had an excellent season, yes, but he can't (and probably won't) expect to be a starter every game – his starting position was down to Ibra's poor form in the latter half of last season, after all…

    If we want to be cheap, we can sell Toure and keep Marquez as a sub, because like Toure, Marquez can play as a CB and a DM, so he would get the necessary playing time to keep him content. We have the perfect amount of depth for our forward line (considering Henry is gone), so Zlatan should definitely stay. I think another versatile midfielder would be good, but not a super expensive, young talent. Instead, I would like someone more experienced, who will allow the youth players a chance to succeed here. Ozil is the only young talent I would want here, as I am a big fan of his, he is a Barca fan, and he wouldn't cost half as much as Cesc. But still, as tempting as he is, it would be best to get someone more experienced. I don't think we need another defender, as Puyol is the best replacement for Alves at RB, but if we do think we need one, we can take Henrique/Caceres for free.
    If Toure leaves: buy a replacement/Marquez/buy a star who will be starting like Mascherano.
    Keep Zlatan
    Buy an experienced midfielder
    If we find it necessary, take one of Caceres or Henrique back, or promote Bartra/Fontas.
