i never expected this , people are actually voting for Ingla . i don't know anything about him except that he left laporta at his time of need . and led the voice of no confidence . it's either rossel or ferrer for me . i thing rossel is a genuis financially at least .
Dude- didn'r Rosell leave? Didn't he try to force him out of the club? And that was actually just before the season we won triplete!!! So… if you think that Ingla is bad for leaving Rosell- how can you support Rosell???
Rosell has conections with hooligans in Barcelona, the same group that Laporta banned. Rosell wants to make membership really, REALLY exclusive, at which point you and me will have to forget about ever obtaining it. His another idea is to play games earlier in the day- like in premiership. Apparently it is so the families can attend the games- but I'm pretty sure it's the Asian money that he is thinking about. And… man, there is nothing more fantastic than a football game in the evening, with the lights and an incredible atmosphere. Games during daylight- for me they lose a lot. A LOT.
Every single time Rosell opens his mouth recently more ridiculous ideas are coming out of it. I really, REALLY hope he loses. Quite frankly I don't care who wins: Ingla or Ferrer. But I like some of Ingla's ideas… as long as Rosell loses I will be happy with the elction results…
wats wrong with trying to play in the evening??? you are ignorant of the fact that Asian ppl have started following Barca and the La Liga very closely.. from which part of the world are u in ?? am pretty sure you are from the US.. do u know how painful it is waiting for a match to start at 2.30am (middle of the night) on a Wednesday for the Copa Del Rey matches ??? not complaining but i would love it if the matches start a little earlier.. although i dont miss even a single match !
if games in spain were played in afternoon times then for the start of the season and the end it would be so hot that the game would be played at a snails pace. admittidly playing games at 22.00 could be changed to play earlier.

I'm not from US. I'm from UK- I can see Premiership playing in daylight, games look crap. The very same thing, a football game being played in the evening looks AMAZING. Wanna lose this?
I also watch basketball. NBA. I simply accpet the fact that if I want to watch a game that happens on the other side of the world- I have to make some sacrifices. And actually I really LIKE watching games at night. Brings something extra to it, although I can imagine not everybody feels that way
Exactly. Rosell will make this club exclusive…we will never allowed to be members, which means we will never have a vote. I wonder if that isn't behind this idea of his. Rosell is obviously the single worst candidate available. I don't understand how he is possibly doing so well. I can only hope that he loses or else all is lost.
really hard to call between ingla and ferrer. anyone but the crook, hooligan associating rossell, who left just before barca were great and then released a book criticising the board on the eve of the CL final. ingla and ferrer both want to continue with the youth academy and expand it and neither will go for galacticos sigings a la perez like rossell

All Ingla has been doing is talking about Rosell and talking about his dream to present Cesc, a sign of an attention seeking person who lacks charisma and leadership quality. That's why he polled so badly in the debates.

i am sorry guys, but i live in montana and i do not know why a president of a football club is elected by the people. And does the president just deal with soccer, or is it more of a political role in government? Will someone explain this to me please???
I'll do my best to explain – Barcelona as a club is owned by its members (or socios). So it's a democratically run organization. They (the members) elect a club president who deals with the day to day running of the club, along with the board.
we vote for who will have the power to have overall control (by selecting a board) of sporting, financial and social areas of the club. unique to barca, although madrid have a similar system. amother part of mes que un club.

So it is, but I decided to combine them as I don't know if write-in candidates are allowed on the ballots, and also the two have been combined in preliminary test polls (voting intention polls) and I wanted this poll to resemble those.

I don't understand how anyone can vote for that crook Rosell. He's going to sell us out if he wins. And sell a few other things too…like Alves, Messi, Puyol, Xavi, etc. He's a worthless cretin and cannot be allowed to be president.

Ferrer will stand for continuity. Either Ingla or Rosell left the Laporta team in strife, they will surely do something to set themselves apart from the Laporta years. We don't need any surprises because everything in at its best as it is now.

my vote would go to rosell. many people throw mud at him,but thank god the people that vote are over 18 and not easily manipulated.
I wouldn't vote for Rosell (and I'm over 18 and a member), not because of the mudslinging against him or the negative media coverage, but because I don't like his proposed policies and the things he is willing to say to garner votes.

everytime sth about the voting is written here,there is always someone to put something that rosell "said" which is inacurate.i dont get all the hate he is getting around for things he didnt say or do.and most people dont know his background at all and say "pff he is florentino perez".

Oh, like when his people said they wanted to keep people from being able to be members unless they were already members or their parents were members? And that's from our Elections Weekly/Pep's blog. And straight from Rosell's team itself. He's spoken enough about his policies that we know we can't trust him and don't want him.

fc barcelona is expanding to a multinational phenomenal.rosell wants that rule to keep the members area mostly catalan +the old members.also he is gonna give more power to those members.i dont see anything bad in that move.anyone can be a fan but not anyone will have the privilagies that involves the inside of the club.
imagine if 100000x (insert nation x here) become members and vote for a (insert nation x here) president in next elections.and move the team to another country …would you accept that?

Rosell most definitely is the one who said he would consider a shirt sponsor. You can check back in Pep's blog. I looked back at it a few days ago.
I fail to see how limiting membership to Catalans is a good thing when he club is built on its world appeal. I would like to be a member. If Rosell has his way, I never will be. Rosell is the one who wanted Xavi out, not Laporta. And Rosell is also the one who wanted to sell Ronaldinho (I doubt he wanted to sell Messi, simply because Messi wasn't a star yet).
rosell brought ronaldinho to the club and laporta sold him (and eto)thats a fact. and i am sure laporta was the one that signed a paper to sell xavi,rosell presented evidence for that.
i had read that ingla was the one saying for shirt sponsor on peps blog not rosell.
also you will have your chance to become a member if you want.there will be 3 months to do so.if you are really interested then you will have your chance.and you do now ,so why not do it now?
Becoming a member at this moment isn’t economically viable for me and won’t be for another year.

I'm afraid this post's been hit with a case of the "I heard of him, so I'd vote for him" syndrome… It's quite obvious that most people here who voted for Rosell know close to nothing about his past, his proposed project, or his other dealings.
As a dedicated fan who's lived and breathed these elections over the past months, my views on Rosell have gone from 'neutral' to 'hell no!' as I took the time to actually understand his views and motives. If he does manage to win these elections, then I truly fear the fate of OUR club.
I urge everyone here who calls themselves a Barca fan to take a few extra steps into understanding each candidate's proposal, nature and motives.

If/when Rosell wins the only way to become a member of Barcelona is if one of your family already is.
He will also kick the African children out of la Masia, because he thinks they are cheating with their age. He basically wants to have La Masia for Catalans, he has said as much, even though he also says two great examples of La Masia is Messi and Iniesta.
We can probably kiss UNICEF goodbye and say hello to a company name on our shirts instead.
I liked Rosell before, but after reading more and more about what he is saying have changed my mind. I truly believe he is after personal glory and money, not the glory of Barcelona.

He doens't want to play in the afternoon, he just wants to prevent Barça playing at 10pm on saturday or 9pm on sunday. And this is right. Old people and small kids can't attend games at this time. The most important fans are those who attend the stadium, not those watching TV.
Of course there's some bad stories about him like wanting money from the Ronaldinho transfer, selling Xavi and Valdes etc. If they are true it's very bad, but I don't think there's enough evidence to believe them.
Rosell for me has some good ideas and he won all the debates so far.
Not having seen the debates, it’s hard for me to say who won, but most of what I have read have had Benedito being the main man at the debates.
Yeah Benedito was also very good, especially in the first one.
I kinda ruled him out because he seems the least favourite to win.
But yeah he would probably be my 2nd choice.
