Play-offs, Second Round: Real Jaén 0-0 Barça Atlètic

Third Successive Draw (0-0)

With Barça beginning the match lacking balance in their play, the Andalusian team threatened dangerously on a few occasions. Minutes later, the Catalans managed to dominate the match with a bright, open and fluid display of football. However, Jaén responded by attacking the goal with more direct and incisive play.

Numerous chances in six minutes

The restart after half time came with a change in the tone of the encounter. In the 46th minute, Edu Oriol had centered the ball for Sergi Roberto, whose volley came close. A minute later, midfielder Rueda came close to scoring twice. His first shot was diverted over the net, and he came close to scoring a second time with a dangerous cross/shot.

Last minute rush

The last minutes of the game were marked by a greater intensity from both teams, each trying to score but without success. Long passes and a more open game created a vibrant atmosphere in the stadium La Victoria de Jaén. In the final moments, Thiago appeared to be questionably fouled in the area, but the referee Cabrera claimed to not see anything illegal.

The second leg, which will be decisive, will be played this Saturday (June 5th) at 20:00 (8pm) in the Miniestadi.
