One thing I find ridiculous is how quickly people forget…The fact that Barcelona pretty much WON the world cup for the nation means nothing apparently. Because of the world cup, half of Barcelona's players are currently either injured or exhausted. However, Pep, never mentioned anything, he even gave them a longer break after the world cup. All the goals scored were by Barca players. I can't believe that after all that, this Martinez guy would run his mouth like that. Especially considering that Pep played for Spain as well. I seriously hope that the guy retracts his comments and apologizes quickly. Because what would happen if Barca and the Catalan players take these comments to heart? Spain will go from the best team in the world, to 10th, and that if they are lucky.

What about the most Symbolic Spanish(or should I say "Castillan") team?Real Madrid,not sending 3 players.And Barcelona's contribution to your beloved Spain?
Btw it's good that Pep loves his Catalunya this way,but Rosell…he forgot that the club's founder was a Swiss and that its all-time top scorer was Asian.

On the other hand all the Spanish should be grateful for Barca for the WC. Only because the national team adopted the style of the club they could achieve something! So instead of giving respect and being honest to themselves they are giving these statements. Shame!!!

So sad and disrespectful! All the efforts that has been made, both by individuals and by the team, gets p***ed on (excuse me) by comments like that. The team and the players have taken their responsibilities. Now it is time for the politicians to do the same!

Feeling sad and indignant at the disrespectful comments made towards Guardiola. It's like a slap to his face espeically when Guardiola has given so much to the Spain national team (as well as indirectly to the current Barca worldcup champions) …I think that political glasses put on by Martinez have blown this completely out of proportion in a very hasty and impulsive manner. Such misunderstandings can only stop once the prejudice against Catalans stop. We could all do with a little more love. It's obvious that Martinez made those spiteful comments because he felt hurt and angered in his interpretation of Guardiola not paying enough respect to the ceremony.

Wawwwwww, it's really sad that such a prominent individual would make a statement like that. Everyone knows that alot of people from the capital have a thing against Catalans, but you would think that after the display at the world cup and the unity of the team, they were overcoming that prejudice. That statement just took them a step backwards.Pep definitely deserves an apology.
