Warning up front: the men out there should just skip this article; it’s one for the lady Barça fans.  Or joke as you will, because Catalan weekly football magazine Don Balón has opened the voting in their second annual contest for….

“El Guapo del 2010,” or, “the most handsome (player or trainer) of 2010.”

The website presents the top 50 candidates, consisting of players and trainers from nations and leagues from around the world. Fans can vote until October 29th, and then the top 15 will be revealed.  The winner will be determined from those top 15 by a panel of well-known women sports writers and journalists on November 4th and will be announced in the November 9th edition of the magazine.

Of the 50, the FC Barcelona candidates are: Pep Guardiola, Bojan, Gerard Piqué, David Villa, and Víctor Valdés.

The previous winner, Iker Casillas, cannot win for two consecutive years, so he is not listed.  Last year, the runner up was Gerard Piqué.  Can he claim the title this year?
