Barcelona have officially revealed that Martin Caceres (23) will be spending the 2010-2011 season on loan with Sevilla, having previously spent last season on loan with Juventus. As part of the deal, Sevilla will have the option to buy Caceres following his loan.
Last season, while on loan at Juventus in Italy, Caceres was limited to fifteen league and five European appearances, due mainly to bad luck with injuries for most of the year. He did recover in time to play a part in the World Cup with Uruguay as they made it to the semi-finals.
Cáceres joined Barça in the summer of 2008 from Villarreal after drawing attention while on loan at Recreativo de Huelva. He was a member of the Blaugrana squad during the treble-winning campaign two years ago, where he featured in a number of games, especially in the Copa del Rey, and showed his versatility playing in a number of different positions.
