Mourinho: “I hope Guardiola will continue to be coach of Barca forever”
Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho has started the mind games with his Champions League opponents Barcelona, heaping praise on his opposite number Pep Guardiola.
Mourinho’s faces his former club Barcelona in Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final unsure of where his future lies after the end of this season.
Mourinho was considered for the Barca job before Pep Guardiola was appointed two seasons ago but the former Chelsea coach insists there is no chance of him ending up at the Nou Camp because of Guardiola’s brilliance.
“I totally agree when they say that Barcelona president Joan Laporta did better in choosing Guardiola than me. He’s certainly the best coach for Barca, and, as I told him myself in person, I hope he will continue as coach of Barca for ever.”
“Guardiola can be considered the best coach in the world because he won everything last season. If I win everything again I can be considered the best. The best coach is the one who wins most.”
Good job Jose. But you need to change your approach in Champions league and stop being too defensive minded, otherwise you will not win it again. For example Jose played very defensively against Barca in the group stage games and he paid for it. with the players you got you should be able to make them play more attractive football as well as win games.
If you play anti-football you gotta be punished hard. Look at Chelsea last year.

But if he decides to play a more open game, that'll cater right into the hands of Pep. The more open the game is, the better Barca play, and the more effective they get.
i still dont get it why laporta tried to sign him…
i always thought that mourinho would make barca a boring team..
he would probably bench messi just to defend a lead.;)
Barca will never be a boring team even if Mourinho or anyother manager coached us.Its all about culture not managers.

Martin Laursen, former Aston Villa and Denmark international player, said about some weeks ago on tv that Mourinho will be Real coach after this summer, and that he had reliable sources.
I have a lot of respect for José. After all, he is former Barca coach and has made big results with all the clubs he has coached.
please don't park the bus inter and play real futbol, i would really hate to see a boring semifinals.
