Mino Raiola: “English football would be a great test for Zlatan”
The future of Barcelona forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic (28) has become a constant subject of speculation after the signing of David Villa from CF Valencia ended successfully. Zlatan’s agent, Mino Raiola, indicated that a transfer to England might help the player to regain his spectacular form he had during his time with Inter.
“English football would be a great test. Everything will depend on the club, but his future, for now, is tied to Barcelona,” Raiola was quoted as saying by footbo.com.
“He has never thought that Barcelona will be his last club – he is like (Jose) Mourinho; if he can win everything with Barca then he will need a new challenge.”
Despite some of his comments, Raiola highlighted Zlatan’s desire to stay put by saying, “He is happy in Barcelona and although he hoped that the end of his season would be different, he scored 22 goals and his first year has been quite positive. Also, (Joan) Laporta has said that he is not for sale.”
Zlatan Ibrahimovic was recently linked with a possible move to Manchester City, AC Milan and even his former club FC Internazionale.
