Mascherano: “It’s a dream come true”
FC Barcelona’s new midfielder, Javier Mascherano (26), recently arrived to Barcelona and talked to reporters from Barca TV about his new team. Mascherano will be officially presented after undergoing a medical review on Monday. He was brought in to cover the loss of Yaya Toure to Manchester City.
“It’s a dream come true and a huge joy to be a part of a team that has won everything. It makes me and my family very proud to be able to take a step forward in my career. I hope that everything goes well from the beginning.” Mascherano says he hopes to offer “the same thing that he’s shown at all of his previous clubs: sacrifice and a large desire to help. I will try to adapt as quickly as possible.”
Mascherano has two compatriots, Messi and Milito, on the team already. He admits having spoken with them before his transfer from Liverpool and said “both Messi and Gaby told me that I would find a great group of people if I came to the club.”

have you heard of rotation, injuries, suspensions, long seasons.
He will play pretty much where Busquets plays, and they'll compete with each other.
This is natural for a big club, keeping everyone sharp… while all those who can keep up with the competition also improves as a footballer. This acquisition may benefit Busquets as much as anything, even though his playing time could potentially be squeezed out by Mascherano.
i understand rotation and all that but look at the bad attitude that masherano has….how long do u think he will remain happy when busquets eats up most of the minutes

I must admit I was wrong about Mascherano not coming to Barca but now that he is at Barca I must admit he will provide great help to the club and players, Welcome Mascherano and thank you for choosing Barca over any other club.

At first I thought Ibra would fit eto'o's role.Eto'o is one of the best in his poistion but now we have the best who's Villa.Same thing for Mascherano.They should've swapped Ibra with Robinho I think.
