Lizarazu: “Ribery would fit very well in Barcelona”
Former Bayern Munich left back and France legend Bixente Lizarazu stated in an interview with Ona FM that Bayern Munich winger and France international Frank Ribery (26), would fit in well at Barcelona. “Ribery would fit very well in the Barca game system. Messi could play from the right and Ribery from the left. They are both very similar although each of them has his own style. Tactically it’s more likely for Ribery to choose Barcelona ahead of Real Madrid, although it is complicated to go to a club that has won everything. Instead, the game system of Madrid does not seem so clear.”
Lizarazu also said that he can see Ribery leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season. “Last year, it was impossible for him to leave Bayern, but I think it’s very clear that will be this summer. I have spoken with management and understand that the player wants a change of scenery and to try to win the Champions League with another team”
Ribery has been constantly linked with Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Chelsea, with the player saying that his future with Bayern will depend on the performances of his team in the Champions League.
i agree. ribery is a good player. stupid player became good and good player became great when they played for barcelona. i hope he will come very soon.
I don't want him, he'll probably cost more than Villa (who scores more) and he's too injury prone to my liking
Ribery is class act. Lizarazu was brilliant in his days, and it's another brilliant idea from someone who knows the game. Guardiola sure has a touch choice to make, but for me, it's between Villa, Ribery, Aguero and Pato(Pato being the hardest to acquire, almost impossible).
I personally want Ribery here. The talks about him being injury prone is nonsense. Messi was even worse before last season. Villa is a pure striker and let's stop trying to ruin another player and make him adjust to a new postion while he's already at his peak.
Silva is a really good player, but left footed, and you know how we roll, we play our wing fowards diagonally from the wings whilst the full backs move parallel to the flank. Jesus Navas would have been the best option for the left if he did not have home-sickness and if he wasn't an Antonio Valencia type of winger. Ribery is the best option for us because of his age and his quality and he's got some skills and creativity (this are the pre-requisite of a barca player)…
however if he costs like a spaceship, then Bayern Munich can keep him for all we care or sell him to Real Madrid. If we come to that point, then I would keep Pedro on the left wing or Bojan. if Ribery costs 50million or less then I would buy him.
