Inter Milan chasing Gabi Milito
Italian sports tabloid Tuttosport report that Inter Milan are preparing a bid for Barcelona defender and Argentine international Gabriel Milito (29).
The tabloid suggests that Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho is looking to reinforce his defence and has singled out Milito, who has been at the Nou Camp since 2007. Milito, who has been restricted to just five appearances so far this season, would apparently welcome a move to guarantee more first team football. According to Tuttosport, president Massimo Moratti has authorized a bid estimated to be between 7-10 million Euros.
A move to the San Siro would allow Milito to link up with his older brother, Argentinian international striker Diego Milito (30). Diego has scored 15 goals in 27 appearances for Inter this season, having moved from Genoa last summer. The Milito brothers previously played together in Spain at Real Zaragoza.
so we take care of him through his long term injury for close to 2 years and now that he is fit and firing, all the vultures are circling him already? Gaby, you owe a lot to Barca.. dont you move your ass before helping us win back the titles you dint get through injury..

For 10 million I think we should sell. He is 29 and has a history of serious knee injuries. Sell while we still can. The same people who are saying keep him now will be screaming that Barca dont get good deals for their players if Milito goes down injured again next year.
sooooo when we sell milito, who will we have to back-up puyol and pique???? chygy? marquez?? lol lol lol Dude milito has looked fantastic in the limited numbre of minutes he had. DId you not see how marquez could have easily made us conceed 3 goals at stutgart??? 1 in which he pushed a player in the box, 2 in which he got shovved off the ball by cacua only for puyol to save us, and 3 for when HLEB dispossesed him of the ball on the flank to set-up a goal scoring oppurtunity. You need to think before you type.
We just renewed Marquez and we just paid 25 million for Chyggy. Why did we do that? To not have them play? Its funny how so many people praise Milito now when they were the very same ones absolutely lambasting him in 2007/2008 as being clumsy and not good enough for Barca.
10 million for Milito is a great deal. People here always complain that Real Madrid make good deals to sell players. If I came to you and said I had gotten a 10 million euro bid for a player that has just missed over a year of football with an injury in which doctors could not determine what was causing the player pain, you'd have to be crazy not to take it. Dude is about to be 30. We can take that 10 million and Invest in a younger CB or backup for Dani Alves since Muniesa will eventually come through and Fontas Bartra and Botia are all waiting for their chances
during teh 2007/2008 he was teh best defender in barca n maybe in europe. he was just brilliant. seriously do u think from ur head? so we wont sell marquez who is teh worst defender we have right now but ya sell milito who is just awesome when he plays. tell me a young CB who is teh same class as milito and wud cost 'us' 10m euros.. fontas, batra they still have a long way to go before they can be solid defenders.
Dude, Which team did you watch in 2007-08 ? Definitely not Barca. Because Milito was BY FAR the best defender for Barca that year, and even much better than Puyol. Injuries will happen. He is superb and will probably start for Argenitina in the WC if he gets enough playing time, which he will. I think he might even overtake Pique as a starter with some good performances.
odn we aren't always about the money, just letting you know. i was 1 guy who repeatedly ask if milito will ever be the same again when he returns and nothing has changed. that shows he is a hard worker. he should stay and marquez and chiggy will stay as well. one thing about marquez is that he plays horrible for a season and then next season he is some kind of unknown entity. chiggy just needs to work on his speed.

The match was rapidly turning into the Aguero show though, and the teenager made it 4-1 in the 71st minute with a fine solo goal.
He showed great determination to rob Puyol of the ball 40 yards out, before skipping past the attempted tackle of Gabriel Milito and then curling an inch-perfect shot inside the far post from outside the area.

His overall performance in central defence in 2007-08 was better than anyone else in the team. But yea you should google " What happened in 2007-08 Barcelona season and Gaby Milito's mistakes " a few more times, and post facts before your gonna convince people that he sucks and we should sell him.

I never said he sucked. Where did I say that? I said that in 2007/2008 many people said he was clumsy and too slow to play for Barcelona. In any case thats not the reason we should sell him.
We should sell him because he has a history of injury that we were warned about long before we signed him when Real Madrid refused to sign him after he had a medical with them. Now inter is willing to offer us 10 million euros for a player that has not played in over a year and has had pain that the doctors could not diagnose. We would be fools not to take that money.

would prefer to sell marquez to be honest, his confidence seems shot and beyond repair. puyol/pique backed by milito/chiggy backed by fontas/botia/muniesa, and thats presuming we sell henrique and caceres, think we can def sell one defender and unfortunately marquez is the weakest link

Every body sort of came to a conclusion that we'd be cashing on Gaby as soon as he regains fitness, because no one really thought he'd hit the same form before he was injured. Though he's not yet the one he used to be he's definitely showing some signs. And more over come summer, we'd most probably be selling Marquez. And if we do sell Milito as well, we'd left with no experience in the back line apart from the ageing Puyi!! Logical step now would be to retain his services for 2 more years at least and due to all the caring shown by Pep Gaby would give his all for the club
Hopefully he would even act as mentor for the slow-as-snail Chygrynskiy who not runs slow but also tackles very slow 
Yess we need to renovate our defense, it is the weakest position in the team with the least quality and depth. If we sell Milito and Marquez there are alot of good defenders out there to choose from.. David Luiz, Bougherra, Kjaer, Botia, maybe even swap for Lucio, I'm sure he would like to win some trophies.

Absolutely no selling. We have stuck by him in the injury, he's back, he's showing pretty good signs. Of course he can get injured- so can Messi. Anybody can get injured. ACTUALLY- it seems like he already used all the bad luck possible.
He's a nice cover, he's a quality player and always was. There was (and still is) a question if he can be the same player he was a while ago- but the signs IMO are pretty god. I'm actually at times surprised how good they are. It would be a very irresponsible move to get rid of him, IMO. If there are players we need to sell- they are Hleb, Caceres, Henrique maybe. Those who disappointed here already and those that Pep does not see in the team. Those who proved themselves we actually need more than $10m.
