Final training before Sevilla

Final training before Sevilla

Except for the injured Jeffren, Guardiola will have a full squad for tonight’s encounter with Sevilla. The team held their final session this morning at the Camp Nou.

As Barca’s official site reports, the players have gathered this Saturday morning at the facilities of the Camp Nou for a final workout before tonight’s visit of Gregorio Manzano’s Sevilla. As the game is not played until 10 pm (22:00), Guardiola has asked his players to be at the locker room at 11:30 am and half an hour later, to meet for a session on the pitch.

The session was attended by 18 first team players plus the youngster Thiago, who has trained for the last few days under coach Guardiola. Thus, the only one missing was Jeffren, who is in the process of recovering after injury to the shoulder last Tuesday in the Cup match against Ceuta.

During the pre-match press conference, Guardiola said of Xavi that “he is good, much better. But we do not know how his tendons will react to 80 or 90 minutes. The one thing is though is that he is a lot better. We know that the injury has gone and we will see how he is during matches.”

Meanwhile, Milito continues with his recovery from injury, although Thursday he was able to join the group at training.

Once the training session was complete, the team had lunch together at the Camp Nou and then the players have gone home. At 20:30 hours, the players will be back in the dressing room to prepare the game against Sevilla.

A number of fans gathered this morning to see the players arrive at the facilities of the Camp Nou. Many have come to the stadium and have been fortunate to see the players and Guardiola entering in their cars for the final training session before Sevilla.
