According to an article published today in Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo entitled "Abidal Assasin", a previously unpublished photo has led to speculation about the true reason for last summer's sale of Samuel Eto'o. The report suggests french international Eric Abidal had become overly enthusiastic about his taekwondo classes in training, leading to serious injuries to some of his teammates, including striker Samuel Eto'o. The article suggests manager Pep Guardiola decided to bring in martial arts enthusiast Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a sparring partner for Abidal as a result.
