Bojan set to sign new deal with Barcelona

Bojan set to sign new deal with Barcelona

On Monday afternoon, striker Bojan Krkic (20) is set to sign a contract extension with FC Barcelona. As Barça’s official website reports, the player was widely expected to sign the new deal as his previous contract was due to run out in 2013 and the club was keen to improve the existing contract’s terms. He will now add two more years with the new agreement lasting until June 30, 2015. His buy-out clause will also increase from 80 million to 100 million euros.

Bojan Krkic has been at the Catalan club from the age of 11, having risen through the club’s ranks and he is now in his fourth season with the first team. Over these four seasons, he has appeared in 146 games and scored 38 goals.

He is young and he has to learn a lot… That being said it speaks volume about him to sign an extension and stay with barca… the best place to learn.. In present day where young players threaten to walk out of the club for cheap unless given enough playing time, and to see bojan signing an extension speaks a lot about him.. good luck kid… you can achieve great things at barca and also learn a lot… dani boy.. hope u sign an extension soon.. visca el barca…

  5. Christian says:

Never a bad thing to keep a promising player though I am one of those who aren't impressed with him. He did well at the end of last seasson but that's pretty much it imo

  6. inimesavi says:

they didn't really have to increase his buy out clause, but i guess it was just to boost his confidence

  7. Messi10Villa7 says:

Very good news! Bojan's still very young and can , or should I say, will get better in time. With the arrival of Affellay, he's going to have to show his full potential in the 2nd half of the season.

  8. AP110 says:

    First renew dani's contract.
    Thats more important.

  9. really needs to step up his game..he's been in the team longer than pedro but couldn't establish himself as a starter

  10. MegaNo28 says:

completely different situation man, the only person who Pedro had to directly compete with was an aging Henry, Bojan has had to compete with Eto, Zlatan and now David Villa…

  11. Denis says:

    He's a supersub!!!

  12. BarcaFan says:

    Great news!

A question: Does anyone know when tickets for the Champions League game against Arsenal in Camp Nou will be for sale on the official page? I'm a member in the club, but I live in Sweden. Also, does anyone know how many tickets you will be able to buy for the match?

  13. barcelonista says:

seriously how difficult is it to renew bojan's contract??
He is the only player who would renew even if he was offered peanuts.

  14. Visca el barca says:

"pretty much it"? not following barca for very long are we?

  15. Kriyx says:

    Spread like AIDS….

  16. Kriyx says:

Afellay. Why can't we still get this name correct?

  17. Kriyx says:

Member discounts only apply for the member –i.e. You cannot purchase multiple tickets for the same match with your membership ID. Tickets will likely go on sale several weeks before the match. Theoretically speaking, so long as you have the money, you can purchase as many tickets as you want.

  18. Jens says:

His a talented kid! He will show us what he is made off soon. Look at Pedro for exampel!

  19. guestcule says:

great. he is young and still has plenty of time to learn. i think villa is the perfect guy for him to learn from.

  20. Samwise says:

good news, he deserves it. he has learnt from etoo, henry and now villa, if he takes all of it in he wil be bloody frightening in a few years!

I still have faith in this guy:

Bojan is in a slump, but many other strikers have been too. I think what is missing is lack of playing time. How the hell can he ever amount to anything if a good day for him is the coming off the bench in the 88th minute? I thought it would have been pretty good for him to be loaned to a relatively big club that needs a striker. The best way for him to improve is by playing, plain and simple. However, I still am counting on him to prove all of his doubters wrong.

Some of you guys are either not watching or are very ignorant of bojans skill and future potential. He is 20yrs old and in the 5min that he comes in at the end of games he makes great assists and takes incredible shots some of which have been goals. Imagine if we were to get more playing time but im sure that will come sooner than later.

  28. bojan says:

lol Ohh Nooo He is like Cancer He Dont wanna leave barca alone ohh nooo again

lol i think he just like to be in barca he dont want money give him food he well work around the groud as a water supllier lol

  30. Byronic says:

I have a ticket for the Bilboa game but can't get to Barca because of all the snow, talk about heart breaking

  31. El Nino says:

Bojan has been very loyal to Barca. I am glad he has signed a new contract. I wish him well :-)

  32. Maxmaxmaz says:

    Dani Alves…its your turn

  33. It's difficult to rate him cus he almost never starts. But whether he comes in for 10min or 30min he always gives it his all and he scores alot for the little time he gets on the pitch :)

  34. barcaholic says:

His statements aren't very Barcafavoured…I was a bit surprised about how moneyseeking he is…thought he loves our club more…Be ours Dani and give the money from ManCity away…

    Visca Barca!

  35. Barca fan says:

the day he signs… we will all breathe a sigh of relief.
cmon Dani… you can do it!

  36. Sanur says:

The best news of the week. I was getting worried he might leave but we have managed to keep him for longer. I love Bojan….the next Barca Superstar…Mark my words!!!!!!!!!!

    Just fantastic

  37. Isabelle says:

I'm so happy! :) I was never one of those people who constantly criticized Bojan and doubted his abilities.. I think he just needs to learn. He's still young. He really does have great potential. Hope he gets more playing time for him to grow. GOOD LUCK, BOJAN!

  38. CanteraKid says:

Whoa! I had totally forgot how quick and brave Bojan was under Rijkaard. I just hope he gets that confidence back somehow

  39. NERO says:

    Bojan doesnt have the stamina….
you like him coz he comes late and plays well…plus he is not strongly built…….
