Atlético – Barcelona: Rate the Referee
Veteran referee David Fernández Borbalán had a difficult time controlling the match against Atlético Madrid today at the Vicente Calderon. What do you make of his performance? Should José Antonio Reyes have been booked for diving? Was Borbalán right to eject Tomas Ujfalusi? Could he have done more to keep the match from boiling over?

referee or total jerk…the direct red card was the only right decision in this game

^ No kidding – that was so irritating. The most minor contact and every player on the AM squad would have their hands in the air. Pathetic.
I don't mean to be mean cos we're all cules here
but what in the hell did you smoke?? Cos that's some strong stuff right there. 8 – 7.5? You should stop taking weed. It's bad for your health.

Rates are in rage from 5-10
9.0 – 10.0Fantastic game with no mistakes + very very hard game: this never happens!!!
8.5 – 8.9 Excelant game, with few small mistakes (throw ins) + games must be very hard to referee (Barca – Real games and other games with rivals) + in this games there should be all yellow card given correct, red card or penalty
8.3 in 8.4Very good game, small mistakes but nothing serius…avrage rates for avrage referees
8.2 Good, but nothing more…

7.9 7.8 in 7.7Key mistake…if referee is haveing very doog games but makes crucial mistake in the game (goal from offside, not giving red card, yellow cards are not correct)
7.5 Minimum rate for him to pass the games in positiv
7.4 or lower He gets this rate automatically if he makes juts one "black and white" situation wrong….(if player is one on one with goalie and gets tackled and referee doesn`t show the red card) or. makes a lot of mistakes for not giving a penlty, yellow cars….
My rate for the referee on yesterdays match is: 8.6…why?
-rival match
-straight red card for Ujfalushi (not manny referees would do this – fantastic dicision)
- all yellow card were correct from my point of view….
- maybe one card missing for diving from atletico player but we can live with that
- only few mistakes in the games but not crucial…
