Arsenal interested in Martin Caceres
Spanish radio station Cadena SER reports that English Premier League team Arsenal FC would be interested in Barcelona loan-out and Juventus defender Martin Caceres (23).
The Uruguayan international is reportedly hoping that his current team Juventus would pay 11 million euros to make his move permanent this summer, but reports from Spain claim that Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has shown interest towards the versatile defender.
Juventus have been happy with the young defender’s performances and are trying to negotiate a smaller fee for Caceres, who was signed from Villarreal for 16.5 million euros in 2009. Failing to impress Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola, Caceres was loaned out to Juventus to gain more experience. Now Arsene Wenger joins the race for Caceres, since the Arsenal coach is reportedly unhappy with his defensive options available to partner Belgian international Thomas Vermaelen.
