AC Milan interested in Keirrison loan
Serie A club AC Milan are said to be interested in acquiring the services of FC Barcelona striker Keirrison (21) on a one year loan deal, according to Milannews.it.
The 21-year-old signed for FC Barcelona back in 2009, but was soon loaned out to S.L. Benfica, where he was played only five times in half a season. In January 2010, he was sent to Serie A side, ACF Fiorentina.
Fiorentina signed the Brazilian on loan for 1½ seasons (until the summer of 2011) with an option to be bought for €14 million. At Fiorentina, Keirrison has scored two goals in 10 matches. However, they have opted not to continue with their loan deal for the player, and the club are now looking for a new club to loan Keirrison to.
There have been strong links to Santos, but the problem remains that Barcelona are demanding 2.8 million euros for the loan deal to take place which the Brazilian club are unable to afford. The figure was calculated on the basis of the player’s transfer fee (14 million), divided by five years of his contract.
Milan who have previously been linked with Barcelona players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Martin Caceres and Aleksandr Hleb this summer, are reportedly ready to pay the amount Barca are demanding and take the player on a season long loan.
