Henry: “Messi is just ridiculous”
FC Barcelona forward and France international Thierry Henry (32) has labelled the form of his Barcelona teammate and Argentine international Lionel Messi (22) as ‘ridiculous’. The current world and European player of the year was instrumental in Pep Guardiola side’s 4-0 win over Stuttgart last night, and the Frenchman believes his Catalan colleague is the best in the business. While the form of Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney and Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo has rightly earned plaudits, Henry believes Messi is merely continuing the form he showed last season.
Messi’s brace for Barcelona last night was his eighth goal in just four games, and although Manchester United star Wayne Rooney recently scored his 32nd goal of a brilliant campaign, and Ronaldo has made a seamless transition from Old Trafford to Real Madrid, Arsenal FC’s record goal scorer believes the Argentine is peerless.
Henry was cautious to praise his Barcelona teammate though, fearful he may jinx the diminutive player’s form which has again reignited the ‘best player in the world’ debate, involving the likely candidates of Manchester United talisman Wayne Rooney and Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo. The Arsenal FC hero was loathe to get involved in such a debate, instead praising his colleague as “a complete joy” to watch.
When asked if Messi was performing better than ever, the Arsenal FC legend told football site Goal.com:
“I don’t know if you can say that, because what he did last year was just ridiculous.”
“I think he is maintaining what he was doing then. I mean he’s playing at a level like that.”
“Well, look I just don’t want him to stop,”
“Nobody at Barcelona wants him to stop playing like this. But it is kind of ridiculous what he’s doing.”
“He is just so amazing. It is a complete joy to see him playing like this.”

Finnish commentator P. Rautiainen, who always praises German soccer, praised Messi after this match. He said that Messi is like a bee in glass can, going here and there and he really do whatever he wants on the pitch. Further, he said that the evening was the one man show of this little typhoon.
22 year old Henry?
apparently he has been reborn lol
well.. from the last 2 matches.. it certainly does appear so. We now have a young henry…
and I hear he is keeping a certain zlatan ibrahimovic on the bench!
all in good spirit… that kinda competition for a starting role is something i would love to see. before that.. it seemed Henry had gone off the boil.. and zlatan was taking his place for granted. With henry back in form.. now we are talking… hehe
lets hope this competition only helps in raising everyones game.. including pedro, henry and zlatan. only 2 of those 3 can start… cos we have a little genius who nobody can match at the moment.
See Henry in Nike Secret Tournament advert.

Maybe Henry has finally found his form. And Zlatan…It was more than clear that he won't fit in Barca's playing style. He's just wondering where the ball is because Iniesta & co. play it too fast! In the beginning of the season he just benefitted from his time from Inter and now he has become a bank warmer for 70 mio. €!!! The only thing that Barca can be booed for is the transfer policy: Chygrinsky, Hleb, Caceres, Henrique…63 mio € for nothing…
You can't just look at all our bad transfers… and i wouldn't call Chygryniskiy a bad transer just yet. Caceres and Henrique can still be sold for some money(Juve actually want to keep the former).
also… if u say 63 million for nothing.. i say Pique(young and great defender) alone is easily worth more than half of that and yet we bought him for only 6 million. Alves was a great transfer as well. Keita was a good transfer. Toure was an amazing transfer. Abidal is proving to be a great tranfer as well. These are all key players on the team who are part of the something great. So I wouldn't complain much about our transfers… no one is perfect.. but we have got our transfers correct enough number of times to win 6 trophies in a year and play some lovely football. and thats what matters. we have several young players we bought to secure our future( pique, alves and even chygrynikiy will be an asset)
Your not a BarcaFan! No faith, no hope, always pessimistic.. Get a life!
