so this is how deals are done

that season was very hard for me.. it was my first season as a barca supporter and i didn't even know all that was going on behind the scenes. i was thinking of going back to arsenal but i liked ronaldinho too much and stayed on.. thank god i did cause when davids was brought in on loan we climbed the table with style to place second. just looking back on this if ronaldinho had joined real madrid i could of been a madrista or join manu i could of been a red devil supporter gaynaldo right now and not live the barca of 6.. i thank god that didn't happen. I"M BARCA4LIFE

Mark Corbin. Being Cule is genetic. Youre Cule since you were born but you have no idea :p i am a cule since 1991, like was10 yrs old

  3. M10 says:

wow, great documenrary, and i agree, being a cule is probably genetic. ive always somehow preferred barca to madrid, plus im mexican and the mexico captain is marquez and he plays for barca. Ive always been a barca supporter but i became a huge fanatic in the summer of 08 before guardiola was hired. messi was my favorite player when he was still number 19. it was a great time to become a fan huh? because my first full season of following barca was historic.

  4. maximi83 says:

you have to be cule for life and it doesn't matter how the results are. When I'm reading the first posts i'm getting really angry because these are the so called "cules" which are in real just glory hunters. I hate them.
I'm a cule since 1994 when I was 11 and loved to see Koeman playing. From that time on I fall in love with Barca. But since that time Barca didn't always had such glorious times like now, it's been a hard time and my hard was often bleeding, especially at the "Los Galacticos" time. But I had not even considered of thinking to change "my team" Barca. I will always loved them no matter what comes and always support them in good times and bad times. So if you're a glory hunter please choose another club, but in real there exists just one (for me) BARCA!!!!!! Mes que un Club! Visca Barca! and stop talking you glory hunters!!

    • Mark Corbin says:

so u trying ti make yourself look good are something?? first of all barcelona was not a great club around that time arsenal was a much better side than barcelona then… oh your a barca fan from wayyyyy back hoorayyyyy… f*ck off. i don't understand that in every goddamn topic there is some fag wanting to start an argument.

      1. everyone has there reason to back their club no matter the reason and u have no right to act like u run shit and tell people to back another club… what are u.. the ultimate cule?

      2. u started backing barca from 11 i started at 11, you loved koeman and how they played i liked ronaldinho more than anyone else, u started during the dream team era(talk about glory hunting) i started during the 6 year drought(hmmm some glory hunter i am)

      3. ronaldinho is gone and i'm still here.. that proves overtime you grow into the team and not everyone becomes the ultimate fan in the first year and i also know quite alot about the club and their morals.

      4. barca went 2 yrs without a trophy playing horrible i am still here

      5. i haven't even seen your name before where did u come from i bet you showed up after the 6 trophies but u are welcome here the more fans mean more popularity for barca means more money each year for barca.

seriously i don't even know why i'm talking to you.. know who your friends are and stick close to them and avoid bad company.. best way of avoiding fighting

      6. i'll explain to u clearly a few words what totalbarca is… MES QUE UN BLOG.. A BLOG FOR ALL CULES AROUND THE WORLD.. some people just need to be grateful in life and not be so negative.

      • Liza says:

Bravo!! Good on you for defending yourself and others from ignorant comments like that one. It is RIDICULOUS to say that being a cule is genetic. News flash– it's not. The person above started watching Barcelona for the EXACT SAME REASON that you did– for a flashy talented player! That you both stayed to support the team is the reason you are both cules.

      • FCB_fR3aK says:

Very VERY well said. And maximi83 just because you were born in friggin 1950 and supported Barca back in the stone age doesnt make you any greater than any of us. All of us fell in love wiht this team for some reason and what makes all of us cules is because we continue to remain here , just because some1 is a "new" fan doesnt necessarily make him a glory hunter.
I have been watching football for over 10 years now (im 21 now) .. And early on in the beginning I never really "supported" a club. Where Im from only the EPL has exposure and I would only watch Manutd and Arsenal games.. Although my favourite player was Allesandro Del Piero of Juve (mainly because my dad got me his jersey for my bday) .. The one team i have supported though for around 8 years is the Argentine National football team (it started off with a bet, and i bet on Arg and rooted for them and just became a fan) …
And then in 2005 , I watched the Fifa Youth championship which Arg won , and there was a certain Barca player called Leo Messi that stole the show. And that led me to watching the games regularly and after i saw Messi do the Maradona replica. I was in love. I had been watching Barca for a long time, but that was when i completely fell in love with it.. Then i read about the club , its values and principles and its history and I am now a Barca addict. It started off with being crazy bout a couple of players .. (Messi and Deco in my case) .. But then you go on to love everything about the team. We are all cules here.. And it feels amazing.

  5. barca96 says:

haha i thought i was one of the newest fans..
from 1992, but i guess there are many new fans out here..

  6. ehem says:

I was a cule since 2004. And 2004 was my first year of following football. So, my destiny was for Barca. Everyoone likes Man Utd, Arsenal, Real Madrid but me i was still young so i dint care much but when i saw Barca playing, i was automatically attached to them because of 3 things.

    1.Ronaldinho
2.Their playing style which is very successful that in 2003 or 2004 they always thrash teams like 4-0, 5-0, 6-0.
    3. The Blaugrana colors mean a lot to me. I dont know why i'm so attached to it. I guess it's because my favourite color is red and blue….

That was my story. just felt like telling…

  7. hamad_ali says:

DO IT LAPORTA , BREAK HIS JAW SO WE CAN GET RID OF HIM.

  8. David says:

Lol Mark Corbin, same here, I supported Barca since Ronnie came. It is annoying when my friends keep saying I should not be a Barca fan cos I am not Catalan. But I don't think it matters, Barca has fans all around the world and I am one of them, a crazy one. I started supporting Barca cos of Ronnie but at that time, I was not into football teams. However, later on when I watched some Barca matches, I fell in love with them, because of their philosophy, their style of football, Ronnie, Eto'o… I remember watching the CL final against Arsenal, I was about to cry. But I went absolutely mental when Eto'o scored!!! I don't think it matters where you come from, you just have to love the club and I do, alot.

  9. David says:

Wow, it seems like everyone is older than me here. maximi83 must be 26, downcast97 must be 29. And I… well I supported Barca since I think 03-04 when I was 6-7…

  10. I feel sorry for the guys who "chose" to be a Barca fans. There are certain things in your life which you are not able to choose. Relatives, neighbors, LOVE and a Club you support. I, for one, did not choose to be a Barca fan it just happened like 10 years ago.

    • encee303 says:

Haha the club you support is not one of those things. It is a choice you make based on your personal values and taste in football. Supporting things blindly and illogically is not something to be proud of. I support this club for a number of reasons. The attacking footballing philosophy, the behavior and personalities of the coaches and players, la masia, its influence on catalan identity, the list goes on.. If this club ever became an institution that supported genocide or something, I could no longer be a cule, I am not a bandwagon glory hunter, just a logical person with a set of congruent values.

      • Let me tell you a couple of things. I wasn't aware of the behavior of Barca's players(cause I didn't care back then), la masia(it was not on same level as now), it's influence of Catalan identity(??? I was like 10 for chrits's sake???), the list goes on…I did not make a list with football clubs and their advantages and disadv. and in the end of the day to say: From tomorrow on, I am rooting for Barca. These years it is the beautifull football, the titles,Ronnie, Henry, Messi or Ibar that attracts fans form all over the world. That does not mean they are band wagoners or glory hunters(Well maybe some of them).

        • encee303 says:

I never said those were your reasons, those are my reasons. At 10 years old you had your own reasons, all im saying is you still chose to support barca over other clubs. Even if you dont remember why you started supporting them, there was a reason. Was it Rivaldo or did you just like their kit? My point is your statement about feeling bad for people who chose barca doesnt make sense because it is a choice, its not a requirement.. well maybe if youre sergi busquets it is.

  11. Ace says:

The gameplay, the style, the tradition, the history, the fans, the stadium and the humility in success and respect for the rivals just won me over.
    Barca FOR LIFE!

  12. hamad_ali says:

laporta and rossel seemed like good friends , what happened between them ?
rossel seems like an inteligent guy , and accourding to this video he was the driving force behind laporta .

  13. blaugrana_uk says:

rossell fell out with laporta because rossell thought laporta was taking his authority to the extreme, they both along with soriano and ingla formed a part of elefant blau which was a movem, ent formed against the eras of nunez and gaspart to transform the club under a set of open democratic priniciples, but as time went on rossell beleived laporta was being too authoritarian and deviating away from the elefant blau project, it is believed rossell if elected will invite inga and soriano back into his new board.

  14. David says:

I will vote for whoever hires me as the Barca manager next season. My plans are:
    Out: Henry(free), Caceres(8-10mil), Henrique(4-8mil), Marquez(8-10mil)
    In: Hulk(around 25mil), Fontas, Jonathan and Thiago(promote)

  15. FCB_fR3aK says:

K some1 post a link of the whole documentary in one video… cause i cant find a couple of parts.. Ive seen 4 parts and its an awesome documentary… Sandro Rosell seems like a good candidate… Laporta is legendary.. hope whoever becomes the next president can continue from where Laporta left off… Being the best club in the world.. • barca96 says:
