World Cup: Spain on a roll
Spanish national team played against Armenia in the penultimate round of the World Cup 2010 qualification round tonight, in which Spain has already mathematically booked the ticket. They beat Armenia 2-1 with the help of goals from Cesc Fabregas and Juan Mata. It was a clash against an opponent that is light years behind the La Roja, and one that has been unable to score against Spain in five previous ocassions they’ve met; a record which was eventually broken but could not prevent the loss. In this match, Del Bosque’s (Spain’s coach) side was clear favorite to add three points on their impeccable march towards the tournament to be held in South Africa. This victory is their ninth straight win for the team at this early stage, something nobody had done before.
Now the challenge for Spain is to achieve 10th victory against Bosnia-Herzegovina. To date, only the Federal Republic of Germany had been able to finish a qualifying round for the World Cup without losing a match. That was before the 1982 World Cup and the Germans won eight out of eight. Spain has already broken their record by beating Armenia and now look ahead for tenth victory, which would mean a new record.

UPDATE, the match has just ended and Cesc Fabregas and Juan Mata both scored, looks like all our transfer targets were on target.lol
lol laurensBarca, I was thinking of adding this fact in one of the post while I was editing it but then decided against because it may be hard for their current clubs LOL
