and about ASSISTS, we go by Pep's rules, no Fifa rules.
Assist is given to the one who created the goal, even though being touch by keeper/defender.

Though Xavi provided the final pass for Messi’s second goal against Racing, IMO that doesn’t count as an assist because it was all the Messi’s brilliance that brought us the goal.
Abidal's assist took a deflection and hence can't be counted I guess
Also yesterday's Iniesta's assist took a deflection.
Let's make it simple and follow a bit of the fifa's ruling as well just so that we don't have confusion with the official statistics in the end of the season. Because the way we count, Messi has more number of assists than he is credited officially

Hey one suggestion, can you align all the topics on the left hand side in vertical way. Also, just like in fcbtransfers blog, can you guys give the topics with links alone when we go to the home page..this will help me not to miss out on nay posts..like now, if you see, on the LHS i can only find limited number of posts..but if the way pep used to do it, i can find all the posts at one goa nd start reading from where i have left out…but otherwise blog is coming up really good..kudos to the team working on this..

yeah its counted as a Assist in this site.
We've had sum discussions about it.
But we r not following Fifa's touching rule here, we follow Pep's rules when it comes to wht is an assist

Hey , just wanted to point out that Alves has an assist in CL when he dint make one =) , It was Iniesta who put the ball through to Messi but i guess even that doesnt count cause it took a deflection of a kiev player.. :/
