Liga 1, Week 16: Lleida 1-2 FC Barcelona Atlètic
Barça Atlètic have racked up their second victory of the week after beating Lleida away. Nolito snatched the winner in the last minute after Soriano had got the first in the 32nd minute.
Barça Atlètic are going great guns in Second Division B and have beaten Lleida 2-1. The side showed they were up for the game right from the kick off as they put pressure on the home team’s goal and continued their run of excellent results.
Barça show superiority
The first half was a clash of styles as Lleida parked the bus while Barça Atlètic were constantly looking for chances to score.
Gai had the first big chance in the 4th minute from a free-kick on the edge of the box, but the home keeper saved well. Barça kept attacking but Lleida’s solid defence and occasional imprecision in the final pass meant they were unable to find the back of the net.
Another goal by Soriano
It took Barça 32 minutes to get a reward for their work. Gai Assulin outwitted two defenders to send in a great pass from the left to Jonathan Soriano on the edge of the box who whipped in Barça’s first.
Just before half-time Barça had another good chance from a free-kick to extend their lead, but Soriano’s goal-bound shot was blocked by a Lleida defender.
More even second half
Lleida began the second half with recharged batteries and a much more open and attacking game which brought them some chances. Barça also had their opportunities, and in the 52nd minute Soriano missed a golden one when he rounded the keeper only to see his shot cleared off the line by a Lleida defender.
The equaliser
Lleida clawed their way back into the game in the 70th minute when Sellarés got the equaliser, driving home a corner taken by Miki. The tempo of the game then ratcheted up several notches as both teams went looking for the three points.
Winner at the death
In the last minute of the game, when all looked set for a draw, Jonathan Soriano once again showed great skill as he sped down the wing towards the home team’s goal. Lleida’s defenders got back to cover but couldn’t stop him, and when just a few feet from the goal he pulled the ball back for Nolito who smacked it into the back of the net.
This was Barça’s seventh win in a row and they are now in second place in the table with 33 points and just two points behind leaders Sant Andreu.

Can I have some info on Bartra? Like, how old he is, height, what he is good at and how he compares to Muniesa?
Marc Bartra was playing last season 2 gether with Muniesa in the backline of the Juvenil A. I think hes 18 years old, but i dont think he is that good as Muniesa. He played against Man. City too i think…
Bartra is a right sided CB, hes 18 and quite talented. Hes also a Spanish U19 international, played with the Juvenil A last season alongside Muniesa.
where can i watch barca atletic clips? on youtube i can`t found clips of the latest games? can anybody help?
The highlights of Barca Atletic are rarely put up on youtube mate, all the matches can be viewed live on Barca TV or through streaming, although a few matches are not showed through streaming
Nice to see that Gai, Thiago and Jonathan are all playing
Livescore, results, standing and highlights video from Segunda B Group 3

The highlights aren't working for me mate, it shows some kind of an error…
Soriano has great skills, wow, Is there any possibility getting into the top team?
Who knows, Soriano was considered a wonderkid when he was with Espanyol and starred in the U17 Spanish national team, but he hasn't grown as expected and ended up in the tird division again…
What a run Atletic is having after the horrible start to the season!
with the midfield Romeu
JDS Thiago
Barca athletic can even play in la liga the 3 are class the strenght in this team is midfield note also that midfield is the only line playing with total youngsters also most matches our attack consist of older players
Who are the older purchased players? Espansandin, Oriol, Benja Martinez, Soriano?
I wonder who will play when Munisea returns from injury? When will he be back, does anyone know?
Ofcourse Muniesa will play mate, he'll be back soon its a small injury from what I heard
As for older purchases you forgot to mention, guys like Sobregrau, Luque, Nolito, even Fontas were bought late after they turned 17 or more.
I didn't know Fontas was bought??? Was he bought 2 years ago? He is 20 now.
Perhaps it will be Bartra who will be on the bench when Muniesa returns?
Yes Fontas was bought two years ago.
About Bartra being on the bench, not sure what plans Lucho has mate, he might probably rotate all three of them and maybe even play all the three together for a few games with Muniesa at LB as hes very good in attack as well. The advantage Bartra has over Fontas and Muniesa is that hes a right footed player who plays at RCB whereas both Muniesa and Fontas are left footed CB's who play mostly at LCB and rarely play at RCB, so it will be hard for a left footed player to play there. Lets see what Lucho has in store though
Is this the third devision in Spain?
Yes mate
cant wait till
mino/oeir
montoya/muniesa/bartra/fontas
thiago/romeu/sergi roberto/jds
gai/rochina or etock
break into the first
but for sure thiago is gonna part of the first team its a condition on his new contract he is soon to sign…He is the brighest player from our cantera…
