Laporta won’t participate in LFP meeting today0

LFP’s president, Jose Luis Astiazaran, have called all presidents of  La Liga clubs to participate in a meeting to discuss the consequences on the new law that makes sure that foreigners have to pay more in taxes, if they have an income of 600,000 euros or more. In the meeting that is being held in Madrid, they will also discuss what they could do to put pressure on the Government. As Astiazaran already have been quoted that this law will damage La Liga’s position, and the clubs, but also that they will be less attractive for the media, sponsors and the fans, which would make sure that Spain will lose taxes from the drop of money spent from these sources. Barcelona’s club president Joan Laporta has already expressed that he is against the new tax law, but will not participate in the meeting. Paul Sanllehi, Barcelona’s football director, will be there to represent Barcelona, together with one lawyer.
