Happy New Year!
We know we’re quick, but you readers should be used to it by now!
Follow the link and greet all your fellow Culés a happy New Year. Inside, you can also read about how far totalBarca has come as well as what we have in store for you in 2010!
We’ve had an amazing year here at totalBarça. Since our launch in late September you have helped us reach over 900,000 page views, averaging more than 13,000 per day in December. We now have followers from every little corner of the earth, only missing out on the last few countries. We experienced our busiest day on the 21st of December reaching a massive 20,678 page views. Our most read post of all time was, surprisingly enough, the picture post following the Club World Championship Final, reaching an impressive 5,842 views.
This whole project has only been possible due to the continuous hard work of several volunteers, spanning from translators & writers to IT & back-end staff. As some of you might not know, this web site was founded by old readers/fans of what was once known as FCB Transfers blog run by Pep, which inspired us all to work towards becoming the best and most complete FC Barcelona english-based fan site. He is currently commenting the FCB elections in a weekly post for us; make sure to check up on his own blog Barca Elections 2010 if this has your interest. Furthermore we would like to extend a special thanks to a noticeable member of our totalBarça crew. Buj, our main writer has helped make this site running almost single headedly at times, massing up a total of 504 posts at the time of this post, which adds up to 1/3 of all posts since launch!
Our prospects for 2010 are really interesting and extensive, and we’re working hard to materialize them. First of all, and most noticeably, a new site design is in the making. There is no final deadline on this yet, but we’re trying to accomplish this feat as soon as possible. Also, we plan to expand the community – going from comments only to include a forum, and the possibility of some other exciting things! As soon as the new design is launched we’ll focus on finally materializing the totalBarça Project, our charity project which you will hear lots more about in the future.
Finally we would like to thank all of you for helping us expand and contributing to an excellent community. Please continue to send in pictures and interesting stories wherever you find them; the collective knowledge of everyone will help totalBarca become ever better.
For a final note, remember to add what country you are from in your New Year greetings in the comments section!

Greetings from Sweden. Keep up the great work!

Omar has already done a great shoutout to everyone who has been involved with this project. There are a few more people I'd like to thank: Samir for helping us set the site up, and Ilias for his tremendous help with the layout for totalBarca 2.0 which we plan to launch sometime at the end of Q1 2010.
A big thank you to Omar as well for being indispensable. Same goes for Soren (Jakobsen) who has always been enthusiastic and energetic when it comes to doing ANYTHING related to the project.
And a big thank you to the entire totalBarca team who have been wonderful, especially in the staff room where we've shared a lot of special memories over the last couple of months.
