Gourcuff talks of Barcelona admiration10
According to Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo, Bordeaux midfielder Yoann Gourcuff (23), who is considered one of France’s the rising stars, has told about his admiration for Barcelona. Gourcuff last year took a step back from AC Milan to Girondins Bordeaux where he has fulfilled more out of his potential. He is one of the star players in Bordeaux, and also a part of French national team, and has been compared with French legend Zinedine Zidane numerous times. He was recently interviewed by a French newspaper Le Telegramme de Brest where he was asked about what his favorite team is:
“In my opinion Barcelona has played the best football for the last 10-15 years. It’s great that they could confirm this by playing this way when they won the Champions League. All of the players should be pleased by playing such football together. It is the best team at the moment.”
He was also asked if he was good enough for Barcelona’s midfield, and on his thoughts about Barcelona midfielder Xavi. “I have a long way to go to reach Barcelona’s level, especially with their current midfield. But, yes, I am pretty close when it comes to the way of playing. The truth is that by watching players like Xavi gives me pleasure, who are in constant motion, offering and giving the ball….It’s exactly what I like about football.”, He said.

cesc has always expressed his love for barca, its just he looked ahead of him in the team and saw xavi and iniesta, i'm not surprised he left! if he comes back good, if not then oh well. this guy looks a great prospect but how many people admire barca these days?!

The list of these players which expressed their desire to play for Barca one day is long. If the fund is insufficient for some transfers this January, I suppose that Barca could push for Vieira to join on loan until the end of the season. There's no question mark above Busquets or Dos Santos, but these youngsters aren't ready to play all important games on the highest level in January. Gourcuff is an excellent player, but if Barca aim to get Cesc next year than Gourcuff will be surplus.
