British club Arsenal has confirmed that they have signed a professional contract with Ignasi Miquel (17), who previously spent five years at Barcelona. He can either play on the left or through the middle. The youngster has played nine times for Steve Bould’s Arsenal Under 18 last season, and has made two appearances for Arsenal Reserves. He played an integral part with Spain U-16 during last season. He came to Arsenal from Union Deportiva Cornella for a fee believed to be around £1m, depending on his appearances, reported British news paper Daily Mail.
