Approximately seven months before the start of the election process which will determine the new Board of FC Barcelona, Sandro Rosell has much of his homework done, reports Madrid based sports paper AS. The former sports vice-president and architect of the team that won the 2004 – 2005 league title spearheaded by Ronaldinho, resigned in June 2005 amidst disagreements with club president Joan Laporta over the  direction of the club. It is reported that he already has prepared a very advanced blueprint of what the Board will look like if he achieves victory in the elections next spring.

In his plan, Josep Maria Bartomeu, another board member who resigned in 2005 will take the spot Rosell once held, vice-president in charge of sports. The medical field will be under the command of Mones Jordi, one of the earliest to leave the 2005 board, accusing Laporta of pushing individualistic agenda ahead of the club.

The charismatic figure of Masfurroll Gabriel, who was vice-president during the era of Joan Gaspart, could have a place in the proposed establishment although at the moment, it remains open to discussions between the two parties.

The person tasked to handle all important social matters, including political, for Sandro Rosell’s candidacy is Jordi Cardoner, the grandson of Nicolau Casaus, a man known for his expertise in this field.
