I wanted a more attractive enemy.
If we want to win the Cup we need to beat everyone anyway.

    • roholte says:

The further Barca can get in the tourney, without playing the other favorites the better! The team can focus more on la liga. Games vs Chelsea Man u drains the team! Visca el Barca!

  8. Fenderek says:

Yeah, after Sevilla in the Cup this is great news :)

  9. Interesting. Chelsea and Inter, Man U and AC Milan should both be good games. Unless Inter fall apart.

  10. Anurag says:

No TV broadcast here, the match is not the sort to be telecast ahead of the english team games

  11. Christian says:

    YES!
    Easy win for us

  12. BArca fan says:

THANK YOU UEFA!!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew it, after such a terrible group uefa had to give us an easy ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  13. Iniesta_8 says:

Good news, and at least 2 favorits will be eliminated! (Inter – Chelsea, ManU – Milan)
I hope Lyon make the suprise of the 1/8 finals by kicking Real out! ;-)

  14. which team can meet barca in 1/4 Final????

  15. SJP says:

don't want to get complacent as all CL games are hard, but this looks favourable for us, lets hope inter and ac take out the top EPL teams, and COME ON lyon!

  16. laurensBarca says:

Hehee guys relax, why is everyone saying we've got the easiest opposition, well i don't agree, who thought rubin kazan could shock us, the minnows as other teams are referred to are always motivated to play against teams like us, let us all be cautiously optimistic, and i strongly believe we will sail through, i also pray Milan eliminates Man u and Chelsea gets kicked out. If God doesn't answer my prayers, then He surely knows why, at least i hope Hleb plays well against us although they must exit.

    • Barca fan says:

+1 on the Rubin angle. Any park the bus + counter attacking team can harm us. Even Atalante scored againts us thanks to some woeful defending. We have to be very careful.

  17. BArca fan says:

Hleb is coming back to barca!!!! I so hope we snuk in a " you cant play against us" clause, becuz he could come back to bite us, just look what morientes did to madrid 5 years ago, and that was the last time they past round of 16!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. I don't want to predict anything here but it is a good draw for us.

  19. Anonymous_69 says:

Who are our possible opponents in the quarter finals?

  20. mario ch says:

i remember 2 years ago we played against schalke 04 in the quarter. we tought it will be easy but were struggling against them and only managed a 1-0 win (Bojan goal) and 0-0 at home. so we are warned and take every oppenent serious altough we must have a self-confidence in a healthy way.

  21. Marc says:

This is a perfect draw, they are not the team to park the bus like Rubin, and are in sort of a crisis whole season.

  22. Varun says:

    Hey Anurag
Don't worry TenSports will telecast Barca match.
Because this year UEFA is doing some really weired match days. Its spread over 4 weeks (8 days instead of usual 4)

Barca's 1st leg is on 23 Feb and only other match that day is Olympiacos FC – FC Bordeaux
2nd leg on 17 March and same and only other match being Olympiacos FC – FC Bordeaux

  23. paco says:

Still, you should never underestimate anyone…

I mean, yes it is a great draw compared to what we could have gotten, but don't be too sure of advancing yet. A lot can change until February, and I'm quite sure Stuttgart will be better by then. They've also recently changed their coach and started to show some positive performances.

  24. Barca fan says:

Lets not be too happy before even the ball is kicked. Yes on paper Barca are favorites… but a german side on their day can really put up a stiff and physical defense. Remember how Chelsea stifled our attack? Now Stuttgart are nowhere near Chelsea in quality obviously(they are barely fighting relegation now), BUT they are capable of putting up a decent 90 mins and getting a 0-0 in the first leg. That kind of scoreline in Germany (0-0) can make it really tricky at Camp Nou in the second leg. So lets be humble… and hope that we can grab 2 away goals (our away form hasnt been great this year… so grabbing 2 would be great).

  25. Barca fan says:

Its obvious Stuttgart will park the bus and try to hit us on the break. Even Hleb admitted so in a public interview!
We have had problems this season breaking buses. Altough I am happy with the draw.. i would still not take a win for granted. We have to be at our best.. anything less and even stuttgart can surprise us.

  26. OmarCule says:

What’s important to us is that we have avoided such ‘heavy-weights’ such as Bayern, AC Milan or having to travel to freeze important bits off in Moscow. Our rivals will be VfB Stuttgart, the new home of when-did-he-leave-I-didn’t-even-miss-him former barcelonista Aleksander Hleb…

Come on Barca, let's make history..
    Vamos Barca!

  27. KAYR says:

    i live in belgium but i'm palestinian… anyway i have aljazeera sport plus 1 2 3 4 but not 5 6 7 8… how can i get plus 5 6 7 8??? thank you and very urgent… i want to watch zlatan score a hatrick… ;)

  28. rasagna says:

I think with the stuttgart draw, we have to time to rest, relax and find our rythm. Parking the bus will not be a problem for us anymore as we have Ibra. With eto we didnt have that option. We spent 40m to break such "buses". This doesnt make ibra better than eto or vice versa .. this just gives us more options :)
