Barcelona have reached agreement with Robinho
Barcelona and Manchester City forward Robinho (25) have agreed on a deal on Robinho’s terms and duration of a contract, according to Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo. Robinho prefers to be signed in January, while Barcelona would like to have him on loan from January before they would buy him next summer, paying his wages for the rest of the season. Indications still show that Robinho will wear Barcelona’s shirt from January.
Manchester City and Barcelona will most likely meet each other for negotiations this Wednesday. Most likely they will come to a final agreement during this meet, and sign the deal. Robinho is said to be a dispensable luxury in Manchester, and would also be desperate to join the Catalan group. This transfers seems even more likely when Bayern Munich forward Franck Ribery (26) seems to be a part of this puzzle. Ribery have been offered to Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid. It seems like Ribery would be sold to Manchester City, as Robinho’s replacement.
At last Barcelona have hastened these negotiations with Manchester City as the Spanish government have decided to put an end to the “Beckham law”. With a deal before January, Barca would save 19 % in taxes for Robinho’s wages.

I dont want him in Barca.
Sure, he is a great player but Robiniho joining Barca would probably mean that Pedro, who has been great so far, will get less play time.
Pedro is good but he is not ready to play high profile teams yet.
We definitely need a LW but not Robinho for gods sakes
100% agreed with you.
As I said in other post- I have never seen a player before that I DIDN'T want to see in barca so much. Overrated, egoistical and a party animal. Everything that is not Barca…
I hope this is only a rumor and Barca will sign Suarez in the end.
Well why not Ribery then Robiniho?
Because he is more expensive and is inured a lot this season. But I want Silva or Mata from Valencia instead of Robinho.
Signing a LW sure won't reduce Pedro's minutes… Bojan would be the one who suffers hugely, because after the top4(with new winger), it's Pedro & not Bojan now!! Having said I don't want Robinho in our team, would prefer a Suarez or Zarate. Even Arda or Jeremy Menez are ahead of Robinho & Ribery IMO
lol everyone wants someone else but in the end it is barcelona who will buy and it is barcelona and that player we will support.
on another note how many of you heard of saurez before he was linked with barca???
Not me
hehe…..
I got his name from this blog itself and i watched his videos on youtube. man ! Impressive.
I see that factor in him that i dont see in Robhino. The one that i saw in Arshavin and we missed out on him.
Suarez=Talent+excellent eye for the goal+young
Exactly what Barca needs on the LW
Good point. Not many would have been pushing for Suarez before he was linked. It doesnt matter who we sign, we will suppor them. Its the Barca management and coach Pep who decides (who I believe knows more about football than us …
). So lets stand by whatever decision they make.
pedro is so talent … his scoring ability is amazing but he shoud improve phisically(remember the game againts valencia if u didn't see watch that he coud do nothing againts miguel) i'm sure he will be in first xi in near feature….
but now we need robinho…..
boat foreever who is zarate who he plays 4 n his age where is he from jeremy menez never heard of them playerstell me they age where they from
Surely Suarez or the other players you have mentioned may have more skills than Robinho, but concider this, Robinho have an experience in la liga. As for Suarez, yes he scores wonderful goals in Holland, but in there, the defence is way weaker than in spain. In there they put less pressure and the game is more open. Look Huntelaar, he was a star in holland, but in spain he did`t have any influence at all. It`s the same with other players, because it`s not easy to play with barca.
Also I`m not saying that Robinho will be success, just barca have a possibility to give him back after 6 months, if he`s not what they expect.
As for Pedro and Bojan, Pedro doesn`t have the experience to play with big clubs. Bojan is just 19, give him some more time, all the players doesn`t bloom that early like Messi did. Look at Pedro, he also started shining just now at age of 22.
OMG- I really want this rumour to finally die…
A loan deal with Robinho is to prefer rather than a expensive investment that disappoints. Like said by others, Robinho has experience in La Liga and players like Suarez could disappoint against a strong defense.
I don't like Robinho very much, but economically a loan would be the best solution. And if Pep believes in him I'm ready to take the chance (we still have Henry, Iniesta, Bojan and Jeffren as back-up players for the LW pos.).
huntlaar was far better than suarez but now where is he??? u can not say player who plays very well at holand league can play the same in la leagua there is alot pressure here ok 5years ago there wasn't very diffrenet quality between la leagua and holand league but now is
i don't understand who some of u prefers suarez than a world class player robinho is the best lw in the world…
Jus because Hunteelar failed in La Liga you cannot say Suarez will.
I'm jus saying….
Yup Ibra, Maxwell also from Holland league…
The player I want to see is Elia. But dont think we will ever be linked with him
haha this again
"he will be a failure" "he is overrated" "he is selfish"
these are the exact same words that most of the fans said about Ibrahimovic , and look at him now , he is phenomenon in every game assisting and scoring
well he shut u up in an excellent way
as for Robinho you may say whatever you want about him but he is the perfect player for our LW
he can do the exact same job as Henry with excellence, he is fast, perfect dribble, perfect shot, perfect passing ability, just perfect and knows la liga very well and available for champions league
as for Suarez i think he's an awesome player but Robinho fit's better in our team
i hope this rumor is true
This "he will be a failure" thing is getting really annoying . How can people say that???
Are they oracles? can they see the future?… they got it wrong with Ibra so badly.. selfish, egoistic, overrated, blah blah…
they also got it wrong with Hleb when people said he will bring an awesome depth to our attack…(really??)
no one knows what will happen… the coach decides who he wants and then tries to get the best out of him. As for that matter… what makes people think that Suarez is guaranteed to be a hit as well? is anyone ready to mortgage their homes on that bet?
Stop acting like "experts" like you know everything. If people were really that good, then a lot of people would be in contention for Pep's job. It's ok to have preferences for players… robinho/suarez take ur pick… but that doesnt mean the other one is a "guaranteed" failure.
I myself wud prefer suarez over robinho (i have my reasons), but i certainly wouldn't say that "robinho is going to be a bad failure". If Pep prefers Robinho, then thats great. He is a very good player no doubt.
Robinho is nowhere like Ibra. To say that Ibra was selfish and overrated- that was just being ignorant. Ibra was never selfish and to say he was overrated about a player who won italian league so many times and topped the scoreboard there… well, quite frankly anybody who knows anything about footboll knew that Ibra IS good long before he joined Barcelona.
Tell me- what did Robinho win? What did he achieve in England? Ibra didn't shut anybody up but ignorants- most people knew he was good. It's quite different with Robinho.
And so far at no point Pep said that whe wants Robinho and that he thinks he's that brilliant. So far- it's the newspapers. The whole transfer thing- that's in papers, I haven't heard one word from Guardiola that it's happening and that he wants it.
Totally agree with you dude.
Zarate is one of my favorite players! Only 22, he can play on the wing or as a striker. I think he is much better than Aguero, Higuain and Luis Suarez and it is a shame that Maradona doesn't notice him. He has everything (speed, amazing dribbling skills, great finishing, intelligent runs, good work rate, a good free kick, a great shot with power and direction, vision and versatility) to succeed in Barcelona. I wished we got him instead of Keirrison.
BTW, I much rather have Ribery over Robinho despite all the RUMOURS if him prefering Madrid.
We should get robinho for a loan deal it woud be great for us, if he does well then thats brilliant we can work to make it permanent, but if he fails he can return to city we don't lose a huge amount of money and then we can move to ribery. If ribery doesn't work out then Im sure we can land one of Mata or Silva as Valencia have to sell.
